Angel Of Mine (Wormwood)
(Wormwood is a book I had read a few years ago, who, for the life of me, I cannot remember the author's name. Set in London, some time in the early 1900's, based off the idea that this giant passed comet was warping reality and religion or something like that. But I was very intrigued by the main character, Sabian Blake, and his guardian angel Abram. And by intrigued, I mean yaoi.)
"I must ask," Abram said, his head bent low and the warmth of his breath tickling the shell of the other's ear, "are you afraid of the dark, Sabian Blake?"
Blake stared past Abram's shoulder at a point on the other side of the dark room, trying to ignore the tension in his stomach and the way his heart rate sped up. He voice was soft when he spoke. "Only of what is in it."
A chuckle sounded quietly in his ear, making him gasp slightly at how close it sounded. Abram's head backed away and one of the arms pinning Blake in to the wall moved to take his chin, holding it firmly so Blake looked up at what he could see of Abram's face, the pale features lit only by the filtered light of the moon behind the dark curtains. His dark eyes searched Blake's before he spoke again.
"What of the dark are you so afraid of?"
His breathe ghosted over the other's lips as the dark eyes came closer.
"Of the demons I'm sure will harm me."
Another dark laugh. "It is a good thing I'm here, then."
The lips of the angel covered his and stole his breathe away.
