Crossover? (Percy Jackson Series and The Kane Chronicles Trilogy)

(I am actually kind of embarrassed to post this. It's reeeeeeeeally bad, in my own opinion, but if you guys like then it's whatever. Doesn't contain yaoi, just a really awkward encounter between two of my favorites characters written by Rick Riordan.)

The two regard each other curiously, both wondering if the other were dangerous or not.

The dark haired boy shifted uneasily, not sure whether to fight or take flight. Anaklusmos (Riptide, he called it) twitched in his sword hand, ready to strike the stranger if threatened. But the boy a few feet away seemed just as confused as he was, even if he carried a weapon.

"What are you?" he asked. The boy didn't seem like a monster, but he couldn't be a demigod either.

The other darker skinned boy looked surprised, like he had expected an attack, but instead received a hug. He stared blankly at the tan, green-eyed boy. "What?"

"What are you?" he asked again, lowering his blade to show that he meant no harm. "You're obviously not a monster or you would've attacked by now, or at least tried at the witty banter. You can't be a demigod because I haven't seen you at either of the camps. Not to mention, you're too old to be wandering around with just a sword and still be alive. So what are you?"

The other thought for a moment. "I could say the same to you," he countered, praying Sadie would hurry up and get here. "You carry a sword but I've never seen you at any of the Nomes. Who's your patron?"

Nomes? Patron?, The boy thought. Is this guy from some cult?

"Well, my dad's Poseidon, if that's whatcha' mean. I'm Greek."

The dark boy look the other over more closely. "Poseidon? Like the Greek god?"

He shook his head, slightly embarrassed. He never liked bragging about his father. "No, he 'IS' the god Poseidon. You know, like from the old myths from Greece, except the myths are real. Like I said, I'm Greek."

"Oh," He said. Anyone normal mortal would be confused beyond believe, but he dealt with this kind of stuff everyday. "I'm Egyptian."

He muttered something and his blade, his khopesh, disappeared. He stuck his hand out in a businesslike fashion, smiled, and said, "Carter Kane, Eye of Horus. Pharaoh of the First Nome."

Horus. Annabeth had to do a report paper on Egyptian gods once. She had made him help. Now the information seemed useful.

The other smiled and followed example, clicking something at the end of his own sword, which made it shrink until it had the size, shape, and appearance of a ballpoint pen. He stuck in his pocket before taking the hand and shaking it. At least they were getting somewhere. "Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon. Hero of Olympus."
