Chapter 10

The year 1998

He said he was no good for me and i wanted to know why. "Why would you say those words to me?" I asked.

Kazuo immediately looked at me; he didn't say a word. He just glared at me as though the words were on his lips but it was something he just couldn't tell. The again with no warning the rain came. it started light until it came heavy but none of us moved. Kazuo still glare at me his eyes locked on mine. 

Then he spoke.

"Because my world is dangerous for you and you should leave. Leave Touhou, Leave Japan." He turned walking away. 

"I know the village of Touhou and the Asakura District share the same secret!" I said.

Kazuo stopped. He didn't turn to me. "Where di you hear that? Who told you about that?"

"I stumbled across it on a blog on the internet that why i was sure i knew who you are. So tell me why are you constantly trying to get me away from the village, away from you?" I asked taking a few steps forth, looking forward to his candid response. 

"Why do you want to be around me? I am a beast. A Monster!! I'm designed to kill." He said closing in on me. As he neared me, i backed in to the tree once more. He came up close to, his body almost pressing against mines, "You would be right to fear me. I'm a the worlds greatest predictor and my prey are the creatures of the night. You human will be foolish to stay near me. So i will say it for one last time. Leave. Those who claim existence to what does not exist will die."

"I'm not leaving."

In that moment as i spoke those words i realized that there was now a reason i wanted to stay in Touhou, or in Japan for that matter. The reason was Kazuo. I was not sure how i felt, if it was more than just curiosity. 

"Then you are a foolish lamb to the slaughter." Kazuo said as he backed off of me. 

I stayed close to his face looking him in the eye, "You are the dog that protect the heard and the this little lamb that lives among them."

"The Lamb could never be with the dog, they are two completely different species." he said with a solemn look on his face. 

I was not sure how to answer to that. Could it be that i was curious about him, because unknowing to me i had fallen for him. Or was it really just pure curiosity?

"Could the dog leave that lamb to stray or will he protect it?" I asked. Then and there as i got closer to Kazuo i realized something, i was curious but not for curiosity sake, but because unintentionally i had feelings for him. 

"I am trying to protect you by sending you away. You are new here, i can't stay away from you. You have a scent that is enticing to me. You're like nip, a drug that confuses me; i need you to go. It can cost you your life. I won't be responsible." Kazuo said and behinds his words i could feel a pain. 

"I'm choosing to stay. You have to deal with that." i said sternly.

He growled and looked me straight in he eyes. I was not afraid.
