You're dancing around on my mind every second
I'm under control till you're in front of me

Joey rubbed his hand down his face and blew out his cheeks in exasperation.
"Isn't there anything else we can do?"
"We cannot Jacob and you have to be the one doing it."
He pinched the edge of his nose and squeezed his eyes shut trying to get out of everything that was going on. The boys had to leave for New York tomorrow and it was all he wanted to concentrate on.
"I'll finish it off," he said and quickly started getting ready lest he should change his mind.

Elena adjusted the strip of her kit bag on her left shoulder and closed the back door behind her with her right hand. Simultaneously the front door of the house slammed too. She'd literally just seen Michael, Daniel and Taylor who would have gotten in with her if they wanted to.
Whoever it was at the door, she wasn't expecting them.
She tiptoed into the kitchen and quietly put down her bag careful not to let the numerous keychains put on it jingle. She reached up to a cupboard and pulled out a steak knife from the stand.
Out of curiousity she had taken over two years worth of martial art training classes. But without any knowledge of what the other person might have as a weapon she felt safer with the knife.
Slowly she walked to the corner of the wall from where the door could be seen if she peeked out. She knelt down onto her knees and stuck just enough of her head out to be able to make out the shadow standing barely a feet inside her house. It looked like a male.
Whoever the person was let out a soft curse and switched on his phone.
Elena slammed her hand on the light board above her head and shouted, "What the hell, Ben!"
The person in the hallway, Ben, let out a shriek and dropped his phone. When Elena rounded the corner he shouted even louder. Then his eyes fell onto the knife she was holding and he got close to permanently damaging his vocal cords and ripping out his hair.
"Stop yelling! What the heck are you doing here? Are you crazy!" Elena threw the knife onto the slab and went towards where Ben was hyperventilating.
"You almost killed me!" Ben pointed a finger at her, his eyes wide and frantic.
Elena rolled her eyes, "Because you scared me."
Ben had tears in his eyes by now, "I could've died. You gave me your key and when I come over you try to impale me," he whined.
Elena resisted her smile and pulled him into her arms. Ben let out a sob and nestled his head onto her shoulder blade. She rubbed his back until he'd stopped shaking and when they pulled apart she started laughing.
"Your nose looks like a tomato," she flicked it as he pouted.
The smile remained on her face as she backtracked to the kitchen to pick up her bag from where she'd left it. She called back, "What are you doing here anyway?"
Ben flopped down on the couch directly in front of the television and started flicking through the channels. "We're leaving tomorrow."
Elena drooped her bag on the table by his legs and made a mental note to carry it upstairs to her room later. She unzipped a pocket and pulled out a jacket from it, "I know, Ben."
