Apocalyptic Problems

Welcome to the Wolfs Den

The day started off usual, a few gunshot wounds, some burns to treat. Even one guy that needed a stitch job, but nothing could have prepared Emma for what was about to happen. Down in the wolfs den everyone was waiting. Patient but overwhelmed with fear and worry.

Eli and wheaty had successfully reprogrammed the Deputy after Jacob Seed brainwashed him. His plan to eliminate the whitetails had failed and the Deputy had been gone for about 3 days. Hunting down the oldest brother to finish him off for good.
Emma tried her best to keep busy with the incoming injuries. As fast as she could she busted through one job after another. Wheaty Tammy and Eli were huddled around the radio table waiting on word from the Deputy.

As she finished the last dose of antibiotics on a judge bite there was a loud clamoring at the entrance to the wolfs den. Everyone around her jumped into action, crowding around the doorway. Curious herself she quickly gauzed the mans leg and went over to see what was happening.
Before she could even leave the common room The Deputy and Eli came stumbling through with a large man hanging from their shoulders. Tammy was spewing curse words off in another room and none other than Jess black came shoving by her as well.
There was a lot of shouting and talking going on at once and Emma could barely make out any of it. By the time she realized what was going on... Jess had her by the wrist and was pulling her over to the mattress they'd taken the man to. The pissed off expression on everyone's faces caught her attention first until she glanced down.

A very large, very bloody, and very unconscious Jacob Seed laid before her. Bullet holes in his abdomen and shoulder were gushing blood and his breathing was heavily labored. Emma was speechless and frozen with shock while Rook and Eli started pushing everyone back.

"Em! EMMA!" Jess shouted snapping her back to reality.

A quick shake of the head was all she needed to get in motion. Various people handing her what she needed to start extracting the bullets and close the wounds. Moving quickly and without hesitation Emma blocked out the noise around her.
Rook didnt hit anything vital, making it a quick patch job. She could feel everyone's eyes on her half judgemental and half bewildered at the situation at hand. Emma knew there would be time for questions later and finished what she needed to do.
45 long minutes dragged by with Jacob at her fingertips. Motionless and calm like a tranquilized bear. By the time all was said and done he was under heavy anesthesia but alive. Rook and Eli cuffed him down at his ankles and wrists while jess cleared everyone out of the room and shut the door.

The only people left now were Eli, Rook, Tammy, Jess, Emma.... and Jacob. Emma took a deep breath and sat down on the closest stool. The snapping of her latex gloves as she pulled them off was the noise that finally broke the silence. Tammy of course being the first one to speak her mind.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING DEP?... bringing that monster that THING into the wolfs den how could you!?" She shouted.

Eli out himself between tammy and Rook hoping to prevent any physical outlay. Trying to calm tammy down as best he could, giving Rook an opportunity to say his peace.

"Listen to me... just listen... l know you're upset but you need to trust me okay. Were better than them.... we can be better than them." He protested as the group stared at him waiting for an explanation.

"I wanted to kill him alright I was going to kill him... but that's not what were going to do. I need you guys to trust me and let me talk to Joseph. If he knows that we have Jacob, alive he just might be willing to make a deal" he said sternly.

"A DEAL!? ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID TO MARK" Tammy screamed with tears in her eyes.

Jess saw the look in Tammy's eyes and quickly intervened, standing in front of Rook to take his side.
