L's only friend

Lights POV:

. "As to say Light isn't Kira... If he was..that would be a problem because-" He looks at me, his face full of remorse. "Because I believe Light Yagami is the first and only friend I've ever had." My jaw dropped. I've never heard him say stuff like this, is he tricking me or something or dose he want to believe im not Kira? Nevertheless why would I think this? do I like him?. "Uh-oh why yes, we have become good friends Ryuzaki. " He gives me a slight smile. "It's been kind of lonely at the academy without you there, I was hoping we could play tennis again soon." Ryuk laughs "humans are so interesting" he says under his laughter. "ah yes of course," Ryuzaki then returns to his work on his computer.

---TIME SKIP TO WHEN THEY ARE CUFFED TOGETHER-- 

L's POV

"Is this really necessary Ryuzaki?" I lock the cuffs "Yes, it is completely necessary for me to know where you are at all times until your proven innocent." he glares at me then sighs when the door rings. we both walk over to the door and Light opens it. "Hey Lighty" Misa Misa says as she latches onto Light's arm. "hey whats that emo kid doing here, and why is he chained to you?" Misa looked very annoyed which made me happy for some odd reason. I didn't like Misa all that much but didn't really know why. 

-a few moments later-

"Ugh this is the lamest date I've ever been on" Misa complained in a whiny tone. "Oh no no no pretend I'm not here, also are you gonna eat that piece of cake?" I asked gesturing towards her untouched strawberry short cake with my fork. Misa let out a scoff. "Cake makes you fat, I'm not gonna eat any." That was the most un-intelligent remark I have ever received. "Actually I found that you don't gain weight as long as you burn calories by using your brain." " OH SO NOW YOUR CALLING ME STUPID?! Fine, ill give you the cake if you leave me and Light alone." she was getting on my nerves at that point. " Even if I did leave you two alone id still be watching on surveillance cameras so it wouldn't make a difference." She looked really annoyed at that comment. perfect. "YOU PERVERT can you stop it with your creepy hobby?" I giver her a small smirk " Call me what you like, last chance for cake?"

Light's POV

   Their little argument was priceless, But,, it seemed as though Ryuzaki was jealous of Misa, but why? I snapped back into reality when I heard Ryuzaki's voice. "If Kira keeps out smarting us we wont ever catch us... its pointless to work so hard for so little outcome." my smile fades to a frown. Out of instinct I punch him right under his eye and we both go flying because of the rope. "STOP TALKING LIKE THAT! WE CAN GET KIRA IF WE CARE ENOUGH! DONT GIVE UP NOW"   Misa gasped and stumbled backwards stepping on a piece of cake. "look I'm just saying I'm a little depressed because we wasted time." I was angry "its like your not satisfied unless I'm Kira!!!" At this point Misa had ran out the door when  raised my voice. she better not do anything dumb. "n-no light thats not it at all" he collapsed down to his knees and put his head down. " I just don't want you to die because we become exposed to Kira. don't you understand Light? I care about you..." at this point I saw tears fall to the ground below him, I pull him in and embrace him into my arms. 

   He stops crying after a little while and falls asleep in my lap. I have the sudden urge to kiss him, why? do I like him? dose he like me? my mind goes blank and my body moves on it's own, my lips connect with his leading to a small kiss. I start to pull away but then I fell Ryuzaki's hand snake around the back of my neck deepening Light. I only remember when I feel him tug on the chain and pull me into his arms once again. I cover up my face with my hands trying to cover up how flustered I am. It clearly doesn't work because he moves my hands and kisses me again. I don't kiss back so he pulled away. "why'd you stop?"
