Bzzzzzzt. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzt.

Squinting my eyes open in fustration, I groaned as I rolled into reach of my phone and brought it close to my face to read the text message that rudely woke me up. It was too early for me to decide if it was time to get up just yet or not.

'Good Morning, Corn-head. Get up!' ~Lanster~

I couldn't help but smile as I rolled onto my back at reading Lance's childhood nickname while it was popped onto my phone screen. In middle school, we thought it would be an amazing idea to give each other cool code names, with the reasonings for each name having a ridiculous reason as to why we chose it. He called me corn-head, because I'm allergic to corn, and I called him Lanster, after I played a prank on him and stuck a live lobster that our parents bought for dinner in his boxers.

I jumped off of my high bed, almost tripping over my fake fluffy fur rug that I was smart enough to place in a inconvenient spot for me when I first wake up. My room was the epitome of my love for the colors black and purple, with my walls being painted black, most of my furniture garnished with black and purple accents, deep purple satin sheets, and black crystal mini-chandeliers that I had convinced my dad to install into my room instead of regular having regular lights.  Hell, I even decked out my lamps with black and purple scarves and added dark bulbs in them to keep my room as dark and mysterious as possible.

What makes it even more exciting is my bathroom matched the rest of my room as well. It was my dark angel paradise.

I went to my closet, trying to decide on what I wanted to wear. I picked my favorite satin purple crop top, black peasant skirt with lace, and my combat boots with little skulls on them. I hopped in the shower, turning it on to scalding. It took me forever to get my long, black hair to do what I wanted to, along with using my usual one can of hairspray to keep it from falling. I slowly put my outfit and make-up on, making my gray eyes lighter, and finally putting on my favorite Victorian choker and vampire earrings. I quickly grabbed my bookbag and purse, and walked out the door into the hallway.

I sped down our unusually long staircase, almost running past the kitchen completely. Lance was sitting at the table, looking hotter than ever. His dark curls hung to the back of his neck, making him look like a dark fallen angel. His blue eyes were concentrated on the paper in front of him, as his full lips were brought to a cup of scalding hot coffee. Still slightly peeved from him waking me up, I came in with a dramatic sigh and dropped my bag onto the ground with a loud thud.

He glanced up. "Well, I see you woke up on the wrong side."
"Pretty much! Would would be too if you were woken up from an amazing dream by your brother's text, " I said, making my way to the cabinets to grab my favorite cereal, Cookie Crisps. And milk. Can't forget the milk.

"Yeah, I decided that would work so I wouldn't get hurt anymore," He said, snickering. Most of the time, I get really violent when I'm woken up, usually grabbing the first thing I can reach and practically hurling it at the person disturbing me.
"Hey! I'm not that bad!" I pouted, getting a blank stare in return. I laughed, causing him to smile. I sat down and poured the milk and cereal in a bowl, instantly shoveling my favorite cereal in my mouth.

Lance made a face at me, from my inhaling of the deliciousness. "I still wonder where all that goes. I mean, you're a freaking twig!"
I smiled, forgetting I had cereal in my mouth. I chewed and swallowed before answering. "I have an extremely high metabolism."
"Yeah, and you play soccer, too." He said, looking at me in the eye. In the seventh grade, I discovered that I enjoyed the sport and was extremely good at it. So, I signed up for the team and was on Varsity the next year.
I blushed slightly but finished my bowl, getting up to wash it.
