Dean's POV:
I didn't want to tell the guy we were just in New York. That is where we met. But he seemed like he had to think of something before this trip got any worse. Sam and I stood in the weird machine thing still freaked out.
"I say we gank it." I said to Sammy in a low voice so no one else could hear, even though I was joking.
Sam gave me a punch back in the arm and muttered my name. I couldn't stop laughing.
"Dude I am joking." I somehow got out in between my laughs.
He glared at me before walking away, almost as awed as I was that this was a time machine.
"How about those Daleks you promised?" I said pointing to the Doctor with both of my hands.
It was weird to call someone the Doctor. Especially if they are not one in the medical field. I liked calling people by their names, and maybe nicknames. Usually nicknames are close to your name. Like Sam or Sammy. Its close enough to Samuel. But the Doctor? I was still trying to figure out what it meant.
"I can't promise Daleks, but I can promise another planet." He said with his British accent.
"Yeah. Seems fun." I told him while nodding.
I just didn't understand this whole "alien" thing. I get monsters and demons. I mean some used to be humans and some were just born that way. But aliens? These things weren't even born on Earth. Or created. They just are out there, in the vast world. There has got to be millions of different kinds of these things. And how to remember every species, i don't know. I had to use dad's book for a few years. Dad's book. I always had it on me. Whether it was in my car or in the room, I had it with me. But this time I left it in the bunker. Unprotected.
"Sorry to interrupt Doctor sir, but uh we gotta get back to Kansas." I said frantically.
"I could bring you back before you found me, but that wouldn't be much fun would it?" He smiled.
"Does time pass? Like you know go on." I asked.
"Only if you want it too. And we are here!" He yelled.
Of course Sam and Rose were the first ones out. It was just the doctor and me in the machine now.
"I'm sorry about before." He said looking me straight in the eye.
"It's fine. Life went on, and look how good we are doing now!" I told him before walking out. I didn't want to see how he reacted to that. I knew we weren't doing good but might as well act as we are.
The door creaked open as my eyes became wide open. It was amazing, the view. There was all snow, but more like a pink colored snow. There was footsteps from Rose and Sam, but it seemed to be the only footprints in the snow. And it wasn't even cold. It was warm snow. The most amazing part was that there was actual spaceships flying above us, almost like it was star wars. I must've looked like a kid on Christmas, my eyes looking like they are about to fall out of my head.
The door creaked again as it was the Doctor, but a disappointed Doctor.
"Oh no oh no oh no." He said so fast it didn't even sound like oh no anymore.
"Looks like we are going to have to walk 4 miles. Or more." He said upset.
"The snow's warm. Dude we can't get frostbite or hypothermia." I told him, and I mean he was a Doctor he should know this.
"It gets deeper the closer we get to civilization. It's almost like a wall of snow separating us and them. And the walls 30 feet tall." He explained.
