~Loki's pov~

"Don't fret, Loki. I'll be back before you know it." Y/n's cheerful voice rings out through Heimdall's observatory. "Don't go to Valhalla without me." I chuckle out, trying to cover my sorrow. "I won't. I'll miss you gravely." She adds, looking to her feet. "I'll miss you more than you can imagine." I breathe out, placing a hand on her soft cheek. She looks up at me, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. She bites her lip. "Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."  She instructs. I just chuckle and pull her into my chest, squeezing her tight. "I won't." I agree. She pulls out of my arms, a single tear falling down her cheek. "Goodbye Loki." She walks toward the bridge, nodding to Heimdall. The Bitfrost opens and she takes a step before turning to me. "I love you, Loki." She chokes out before stepping into the Bitfrost. "And I, you." I whisper as the Bitfrost closes. "Do not fret, Prince Loki. She will be fine." Heimdall assures me as I make my way back to the palace.

My eyes opened, the light from the morning sun shining in through my window. I sat up slowly and looked around the room. Letting out a sigh, I got up and made my way out to the balcony. I placed my hands on the balcony rail, Looking out over Asgard. She had been gone a long time.

A knock sounded on the balcony door and I turned to see my servant standing there, my clothes for the day in her arms. "Good morning my Prince. I've brought you some fresh clothes." Her meek voice was just loud enough to hear. I took my clothes from her and made my way behind my dressing screen.

"What's on the schedule for today?" I asked, still looking back on the dream I had. "Lady Frigga has requested you join her for breakfast this morning. And at around noon you have a fitting for your new robes. I've cleared your schedule for the evening at Lady Frigga's request." I cut her off. "Why?" I asked, confused as to what was more important than my meeting with the Royal Guard. "I apologize, my prince, but she did not tell me the reason, only that you should have a free schedule during the evening." I eyed the servant as I pulled my shirt on over my head. "You are excused." I ordered, fastening my belt and making my way to my bathroom to fix my hair. I looked into my reflection, Y/n's  last words to me running through my head.

~Y/n's pov~

I panted, trying hard to catch my breath. My heart beat fast in my ears and my legs wobbled. I looked down at my watch. I had just finished my last run here. Tonight, I was finally going home.  I looked up at my apartment in Brisbane, Australia and took a deep breath in. I jogged up the steps and into the building. I took the stairs instead of elevator and made my way to the 6th floor. I opened the door to my, now empty apartment building and sat down on the floor.

I had Packed all of my things and put them in storage, in case I wanted to come back someday. I had my best friend Jess keep watch over the storage and pay any fees with my money. Jess is the only one who knows who I really am, where I've come from.

I sprawled out on the floor and looked to the ceiling. Jess would be here soon to pick me up and take me out one last time. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in. Has it really been 7 years? Have I been gone that long?  It could be because I'm Asgardian, but it felt like it had just been 2 years. I let my breath out and sat up, walking to my room, where an outfit was hanging on my door handle. The only thing I hadn't packed were a few sets of clothes so I didn't have to wear the same thing for 3 days.

I quickly changed and messily styled my h/l, h/c hair, applying some mascara and putting on my mango lip balm. I straightened my shirt and exited the bathroom, finding my pair of converse and putting them on. Jess knocked on my door and walked in, a smile on her face. "Ready to make the most of today?" She asked, opening her arms to hug me. I entered her loving embrace and wrapped my arms around her shoulders. She was a whole 5 inches shorter than me.
