chapter 6

Star p.o.v.

I was awaken by my pillow moving. I opened my eyes to find out that it was not a pillow it was Liam. I sat up and stretched. “Good morning Star!” “Good morning Liam!” “So you are leaving today?” “Ya I am but don’t worry we will talk every day.” “You promise?” “Yes I promise” he answered pulling me in for a hug.

“Let’s get you ready to go. Come on” I said pulling him away. “I’m coming I’m coming.”

Once we got to the auditions I stood back stage with my figures crossed rooting Liam on. He is going on I was so excited for him. Once he came back stage I ran up to him giving him the biggest hug ever.

“I am so happy for you Liam!” “Thanks Star that was incredible!”

After that day I did not see Liam often, but we would talk almost every night. He called on night upset and I though oh this is it, but then he turned it around saying he was put in a group with four other guys. After that night I did not hear from Liam again. I would try and call or text but he never answered I was always sent to voice mail.

Not having Liam to talk to any more I just felt like giving up the bullies just got worse to the point that I could not go out or move some times. Even though I could not get in touch with Liam I did keep track of him on twitter and the TV. I still went to see his mom at times but as the years passed I went to see her less and less.

I has now been four years since I have seen or heard from Liam. About two years ago I decided I had enough I could not take it any longer so I packed my stuff and left. Before I left for London I stopped by to see Karen.

Flashback

“Hey Karen.”

“Hey Star I have not seen you in a while how have you been please come in.”

“I have been good and sorry I have not been around more often I have been really busy.”

“It is ok love so what brings you by?”

“I came by to say goodbye and drop this off for Liam.”

“Goodbye where are you going?”

“I am moving to London. I can no longer take the pain so I just have to get away.”

“Oh love what pain you don’t have to go I can help you dear.”

“Ever since that day Liam and I met I have been bullied and even after he left it continued. The reason I slowly stopped coming by is because I did not want you to see me all beaten up. I never told Liam that I was bullied I did not want him to think it had anything to do with him. I cannot take any more it was ok when Liam would call and I could just talk to him, but once he stopped taking my calls it got harder to deal with. That’s when I decided I had to get away so that’s why I’m moving. I wrote this for Liam can you please give it to him and don’t let anyone but him read it?”

Once I was done explaining Karen was crying and she pulled me into a hug. “OH my dear I am so sorry that you had to go through all of that. I will give it to him the next time I see him love. You do not deserve any of what you went through.”

“Thank you Karen and one more thing do not tell anyone especially Liam anything I have told you or where I am going. I am afraid that if someone is to find out than they will come for me.”

“OK my dear I will keep this between you and I. I will miss you dear.”

“I will miss you too. Oh and here is my new number you can reach me at it. Please don’t give it to anyone not even Liam. I will call you once I get settled in. I have to go not goodbye.”

“I won’t give it to any one else goodbye my dear.”

After that I left and headed to London.

Karen P.O.V

After Star left I just laid on the couch and cried I cannot believe all she went through and I could never tell. I ended up falling asleep on the couch for about four hours. Once I woke I went and put the letter she left on Liam’s bed. Then went into the kitchen to start dinner as I was about to put dinner in the oven there was a knock on the door.

“Coming” as I opened the door I was surprised to see Liam.

“Hi mom” “OH Liam hi dear” I said pulling him in for a big hug. “I was just about to put dinner in the oven go get cleaned up.”

Liam P.O.V

I was back in my home town for a while and the first place I went was home. Once I got there I knocked on the door and mom answered the door. “Hi mom” “OH Liam hi dear” she said pulling me in for a big hug. “I was just about to put dinner in the oven go get cleaned up.” After that I went to my room and put my things down I looked over to my bed only to see a letter. I sat down and started to read it.

Dear, Liam

                I am sorry you had to find out this way, but I could no longer take the pain. I never told you this but after the day I saved you from the bullies I made a deal with them. The reason they no longer bothered you is because of the deal. The deal was as long as I always did as they wanted they would leave you alone. Do you remember when I would just disappear that’s because I would meet them behind the school. There is where they would beat me instead. I could not bear to tell you because I did not want you to think it was your fault because it is not this was my choice I could not let my Best Friend be hurt and this is the only way to insure you weren’t. After you left it got harder to deal with when we talked it helped but then you stopped taking my calls I did not know what to do. So that’s when I decide it would be best to leave. Don’t try and call because it won’t go through, and don’t try to come by either I will be long gone before you read this. I have moved and no one will know where. I sorry about this I will be keeping taps on you just to see how you are doing. So please just forget about me.

I cannot believe this how could she be gone I was sitting on my bed crying when my mom came in. “Oh dear what’s wrong?” “She is gone and it’s my entire fault mom what am I going to do?” “Oh dear it is not your fault you did not know.” “Did she come by?” “Yes she did come by to drop the letter off.” “Did she say where she was going?” “No love she just dropped off the letter said goodbye and left.” “I don’t know what to do.” “Just never forget her and keep looking for her if it was meant to be it will happen.” “Thanks mom.” “No problem now come eat.”

After I left I went back to London and never stopped looking.

Star P.o.v

I have kept in touch with Karen over the years and she keeps me up to date on how Liam is. She told me he lived here in London I changed my hair color and the way I spoke that way if I ever ran into him he would not know it was me.  

I was walking along the streets of London when I ran in to someone. “Oh I’m so sorry.” “No it is my fault. I’m Harry by the way.” “It is nice to meet you Harry I am…. Hope” I did not know if I should tell him my real name or not just in case he knew Liam I decided to go by my middle name instead. “It is nice to meet you Hope. Would you care to grab a bite to eat?” “Umm sure why not.”

After that in counter Harry and I were great friends. I did end up finding out that Harry knew Liam in fact they were best friends and band mates. Every time he would mention that the other guys wanted to meet me I would find something I had to do so that I would not have to see Liam. It worked until one day while Harry and I were hanging out and we ran in to the others. I tried to hide from Liam and hoped he did not notice who I was.

“Star is that you?” shoot no no no this can’t happen. “No this is Hope Harry said. “Oh sorry you just remind me of a friend.” “Well sorry I don’t know any Star. I have to go bye Harry nice to meet you guys.” that was a close one.
