It seemed they were playing the waiting game.

It hadn't been long, yet when Helena texted Cordelia telling her to call people to the church, her mind became ridden with worry. And as she sat beside Harry at the front of the church, this worry only increased.

She glanced to Helena who bit her lip as Luke's phone line rang. "He's not answering," she spoke turning off the phone. "Neither is Grizz."

"They must be coming back here. That's why he wanted us together," Harry spoke from the other side of Cordelia. He reached over, grabbing her hand in reassurance as everyone's attention traveled to Kelly.

"So fast," she sighed. "Twelve hours, maybe they found something," she hopefully offered. This offer seemed to be shut down by Helena almost immediately.

"Or maybe they found nothing," she snapped. "Why wouldn't they say if it was good news?"

"Guys," Cordelia scolded. "We can't speculate we just have to wait and see." Her hand intertwined with is, taking this action in order to calm her down. She couldn't deny how scared she felt.

"Listen," Cassandra then ordered. "While we are here together, there are some things we gotta figure out," she posed. "Before we rip this place apart, and maybe start hurting each other."

The room quieted.

"I don't know what the hell is going on. Maybe Luke will come back with some good news,"

She was cut off. "Maybe?" Elle snorted. "Of course he will."

Harry looked to the girl trying to take charge. "Like Lia said, why don't we just wait and see, Cassandra?" He spoke, voice dripping with venom.

She sighed. Gaze averting from the group as she looked past them to the door, "I would rather prepare for the worst before the worst happens."

With this, Cordelia scoffed. "What the fuck is that even supposed to mean?"

"I don't know specifically, but I think it means we agree not to just take things." She began once again, looking to the congregation in the room. "Until all the food is gone, and we starve."

He words elicited chaos amongst the group as a chatter spread throughout the room. Few agreed, but Harry simply rolled his eyes, snorting in response.

"This is bullshit." He grumbled. "What are we agreeing to, Cassandra? Which one of us gets to decide who gets what? Your friend?" He pointed towards Becca as he leaned over Cordelia to hiss at Cassandra.

"It's called democracy." Becca retorted before Harry rolled his eyes once again, explaining that he wasn't an idiot.

Deep down, Cordelia really wanted to speak up. Explain that arguing wasn't the way to get things done and maybe everyone should just leave to cool down before Luke and the others got back. She opened her mouth, yet no words came out. She didn't even know where to start.
