After his encounter with the younger Pressman, Harry found himself speeding back to his own home.

At this rate, he was sure to waste some of the gas he had just filled in honor of the fugitive game that would be starting in about less than an hour. But at this rate, he had to remind himself, he really didn't care.

Because Allie was right, no matter how much he hated it. He couldn't let Cordelia think she was second best when it simply wasn't true. And he couldn't risk losing her or what they had going for them over some stupid opinion.

The boy let out a puff of air upon pulling into his driveway and seeing Cordelia slumped on the front steps.

"Delia." He yelled from the drivers' seat before parking the car and rushing out of it to face her. "I'm sorry." He panted once he reached her. "I'm really sorry." His hands went to grasp at her arms which had been crossed against her legs.

She wasn't having it.

"Hey, did you hear me? I'm sorry." The boy spoke once again.

Cordelia had to look away, pry herself from under his gaze as a breeze caused her to shiver. Maybe it was dumb to not change before storming out of the house earlier. "Can we just go inside?" She pleaded. "I'm fucking cold."

And at her words, Harry had to step back. Digging in his pockets for the keys to the front door before opening it. The girl seemed to go anywhere that would lead her furthest from him before he could catch her arm and halt her.

Her plan didn't work. Because before she could even make it far enough away, he spoke the words which halted her.

"You know you were never second best," unlike the first time he tried to assure her this, his voice expressed a sense of certainty that she was sure she'd never heard from the boy in front of her. "I'm sorry if I ever made you feel like you weren't my first choice. You are. To me, you were never second best." At her silence, Harry opened his mouth again. "I just, I really thought you needed to know."

Cordelia felt adrenaline beginning to flow through her bones as she stood beside Harry Bingham.

He was right, this was just about the biggest game of fugitive the town of West Ham had ever seen. Another way to forget about the dire situation they were in, she reasoned, and as she took a deep breath she realized this was just again, the perfect way to forget her problems.

The two shared a look as Harry hoisted himself atop the car, ready to grab the others' attention.

"Okay-okay we're gonna-" he began to no avail. The boy continued to shout before Cordelia stepped on top of the car, lightly pushing him to the side.
