Harry Potter sat at the breakfast table with the Weasleys, reading the muggle newspaper about how in the United States, Greece, and Rome, several teens saved tons of families from seven hurricanes in Greece, four earthquakes in Rome, and ten forest fires all throughout the U.S.
Harry didn't believe that story at all, of course. He knew wizards had probably done all of that, probably fighting another villain like Voldemort at Hogwarts. He sighed as Ron told him about how some muggles almost caught the wizards in action.
" - and in Alaska, one of them said they saw a boy inside the hurricane," Ron was saying. "Another person said that another boy had stomped, and an earthquake had erupted from his feet, a bunch of rats crawling out!"
"That's wonderful, Ron," Harry muttered, not at all listening to what he was saying.
Ron kept rattling off strange occurences in the Manhattan area while Harry and Hermione pretended to listen.
Finally, Ron stopped and grabbed himself some toast that a magical knife was buttering. He raised the toast to his mouth and took a big bite. As he chewed, his brother George came down the stairs. By the way he was looking at them, Harry could tell it wasn't going to be good.
"Mum wants you three," George said, looking at them apologetically, "She apparently has something really important to tell you."
Ron frowned at his piece of toast, "We haven't even finished breakfast yet," he pouted.
Hermione looked at him disapprovingly. "You should have eaten breakfast earlier instead of talking about the muggle news. They never get anything right,"
"Except when they caught Harry and I in the flying car," Ron muttered, and Hermione glared at him.
"Well, Harry and I are done with our breakfast, so we are leaving!" she declared, pulling on Harry's arm. Harry complied, getting out of his seat and following the Weasly twins to the porch. Harry turned around just in time to notice Ron sighing and getting up from his seat.
Harry walked onto the porch and followed Hermione to one of the many rocking chairs available. Ron stumbled in five seconds later with a mug of tea in one hand and a chocolate chip cookie in another.
Ron's mother was sitting on the rocking chair opposite Harry, and she smiled at him when she noticed him looking at her.
Once everyone was settled into their seats, Mrs. Weasly began to speak. "Are you excited for your last year at Hogwarts?" she asked, but her voice sounded strained, as if there was something she wasn't telling them.
All three wizards nodded, and Harry opened his mouth to speak, but Mrs. Weasly quickly shushed him. She took a deep breath, opened her mouth, and hesitated, as if afraid to see what would come out of her mouth.
"Well," she said slowly, as if not trusting her own voice. "There is some really amazing news! All three of you were chosen for the student exchange program at Hogwarts. All of them are your age, seventeen or eighteen. The only thing that's different about them is that they have never experienced magic before, but they are in your year. Surely they will be utterly confused, so you need to try your best to help them. Also, they are a lot more different than your average wizard," Ron's mother immediately covered her mouth after the last sentence, as if she said something she shouldn't have.
"What's different, " Hermione asked curiously, and Mrs. Weasly sighed, slumping in her seat, obviously defeated.
Instead of answering, she said, "Ask Ron's father about the birth of magic. He'll tell you," and with that, she fled into the house.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione found Ron's father in the garage, working on a new upgrade for the magical car, which the ministry allowed him to get back after the part Ron played in the war. He turned around and smiled when he saw the trio.
"Harry!" he yelled over the sparks coming from the car. "How are you?"
"We're great, Mr. Weasly!" Harry yelled, and walked towards him with the two other wizards in tow.
"Hey dad?" Ron asked.
"Yes, m'boy?"
"Do you know the story about the birth of magic?"
Immediately, Ron's father stopped working, and looked at the wizards. When he realized they were serious, he turned off whatever was making the car spark and sat down in a rolly chair. "Yes, I know the story. Would you like to hear it?"
The three wizards eagerly nodded, and Ron's father smiled. "Alright, here we go. It all started thousands of years ago, when the Greek Goddess Hecate fell in love with a muggle man. However, Hecate could not marry the man in fear that they would have a child, and all children of Hecate were quite powerful. Instead, she entrusted some of her power to him, along with three of his friends, Salazaar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff, and Rowena Ravenclaw, and they would become the first wizards, so that way magic would live on, even when Hecate faded away.
"But even magic can't last forever. An oracle predicted that soon after an extremely powerful enemy was defeated, another enemy would appear. They would blend together two different worlds, turn into something nearly unbeatable, and destroy the wizarding world once and for all."
Harry finally got the courage to speak. "So, the man Hecate fell in love with - "
"Was Godric Gryffindor," Ron's father finished with a small twinkle in his eye. "Then again, it is just a legend."
"Nothing is just a legend. I mean, we're standing here, aren't we?" Hermione said, "But, I have to admit, Greek Gods? That does sound a little far - fetched."
Ron rolled his eyes. "Far - fetched or not, I just want breakfast!"
Okay guys, author here! Sorry about the ending, but I ran out of ideas. This chapter is pretty short, about 950 words, but I was lazy when I wrote this. Also, did you know that there's a fear of running out of reading material? Amazing! I totally have that fear! It's call Abibliophobia. Look it up, it's a thing! Anyway, see you later demigods!
