Nikita let out an earring piercing scream and backed up, bumping into Kai. In the living room was the body parts of a very dead witch.
"Oh my god." Nikita gagged and turned away.
Kai moved her behind him and looked at the mess.
"Who would do this?" Nikita whispered.
Kai stared at the body and then glanced at the shaking girl behind him.
"We gotta go, come on." He grabbed her arm and went to pull her away from the scene but he was flung back.
Nikita yelped as she was grabbed.
"Kai!" She screamed when arms wrapped around her body. Kai immediately got up and went to move but the chanting of a witch behind Nikita and the vampire holding her hostage stopped him. Kai groaned in pain and held his head. "The sapphire witches are gonna be so pleased to hear that you're alive." The vampire hissed in her ear. Nikita shuddered.
Nikita recognized the sapphire ring on the witch.
"Ah Sha Lana." Nikita whispered causing the vampire behind her to grunt and release her. "Ossox!" She snapped while raising her hand and flicking her wrist breaking the vampire's leg. He cried in pain causing the witch that was keeping Kai down to stop her incantation. Kai gasped with relief. "Vodux." Nikita said while thrusting her hand in the air pushing the witch back.
Kai vamp sped to the vampire behind her just before he could get to her and ripped his heart out. He then sped over to the witch grabbed her head and slammed it back against the wall knocking her out. Nikita gulped and stared in shock. The bloody mess in the living room and the dead vampire made her head spin and stomach turn.
"I think I'm gonna puke." She muttered quietly. "Don't you dare." Kai warned but it was too late.
Nikita hurried to the small garbage pail and let out the contents in her stomach.
"Ugh!" She groaned while falling back onto her butt. "She's dead. The witch that could've had answers that would help me is dead." Nikita complained while wiping her mouth. She clenched her jaw angrily and the lights began to flicker. Kai's eyes widened slightly. "Uh hey yeah calm down. It's okay." He said trying to get her to relax. It didn't work. She snapped her head towards him and the look that she gave made him take a step back. "Nikita you need to relax." Kai stated. "I can't!" She snapped at the same time as things lit on fire around her. Kai's eyes widened and he swiped his hand through the air stopping it.
Nikita took deep breaths. She pushed her hair back and took a deep breath.
