The air in the house was different. It was filled with tension. The young witch was used to the tension in the house but something about tonight was different. Her gut was telling her to go now.

Nikita Martin was seen as the black sheep of the family. Born into a family of witches meant she would always be different from normal people. She never thought she'd be different from her own family. Nikita was child three of six. She had three older siblings and two younger ones. All children witches. She was different from her siblings and the rest of the coven. Nikita had magic that was never ending. The coven and her family feared her because of it.

Nikita heard a door slam and she jumped. She didn't hear anything after that. She frowned and stood up. The young woman grabbed her sweater and put it on before opening her room door.

"Mom?! You guys home?!" She called out. There was no answer. Nikita frowned, just as she turned around she heard the sound of glass shattering downstairs. She gasped and spun back around.

Nikita stepped out of her room and walked towards the staircase that led downstairs. It was eerily quiet. Nikita silently walked down the steps. Her heart beating fast. The living room was dark. She tried to turn the light on but it didn't turn on. Everything was off. Nikita heard noise coming from the basement and froze. She slowly began to walk towards the the basement door. There was movement behind her and Nikita gasped when arms closed around her. Nikita heard the chants.

"Motus!" Nikita exclaimed as she spun around to face her mother who was laying on the floor with a dagger in her hands.

"What're you doing?!" Nikita asked shocked. "You're dangerous Nikita. We can't allow you to threaten the lives of this coven anymore." It wasn't her mother who spoke but her father.

Nikita turned sideways to face them both.

"What have I done?" Nikita asked confused. "You're dangerous. We should've killed you the minute we found out what you were." Her mother spat.

Nikita felt her heart break. She knew her family hated her but never to this extent. Nikita watched as her siblings surrounded her.

"What're you guys doing?" Nikita asked. Her voice was filled with fear. "Doing what needs to be done." Her brother said.

She watched as her family linked hands. Nikita's eyes widened.

"Motus!" She shouted breaking them away from each other. "Phasmatos navaro pulsus sanguinox." Nikita screamed loudly as her blood slowly turned to acid. "Vatos!" She screamed causing the objects surrounding the family to explode.

Her brother stopped chanting his spell ending her pain.

    "Please stop!" Nikita begged.

Tears pricked her eyes as she watched her family get back up.

"Please don't make me hurt you." She begged. "Do not stop until you kill her." Her father ordered.

Nikita's eyes widened. Nikita's mother came from behind her and held the dagger to her throat barely nicking her neck before being thrown off by the powerful witch.

Her siblings came after her next. Nikita threw them back against the wall knocking things down.

"Nikita stop fighting. Let us right the wrongs that we made." Her father spoke. "The wrongs?" Nikita asked in disbelief. She knocked her father back.

Nikita took this opportunity to try and run out the house but her brother grabbed her from behind and put her in a choke hold. "Ah Sha Lana." Her brother groaned with pain. Nikita elbowed him in the jaw. She turned around and punched him. "You guys are going to make me kill you! Please stop!" Nikita begged.

She screamed in pain when her sister stabbed the dagger into arm. Her youngest sister tackled her to the ground. Nikita grunted and threw the young girl off.

"Natalie stop! Please!" The little girl raised her hand and began chanting. Nikita screamed loudly and grabbed her head.

She swung her hand sending a picture frame flying towards the little girl. The edge of the frame pierced the little girl's throat.

"No!" The pain stopped and Nikita's eyes widened when she realized that her sister was dead. "Kill her!" Her father yelled. "Phesmatos superous em animi!" Nikita shouted. Her father yelled in pain. Nikita stood up with her hand raised. She was breathing heavily. The power flowed through her body. Her mother charged at her again but Nikita used her hand to fling her back. She flew back and broke her neck against the wall.

Nikita let her father drop and turned around to see her siblings staring at her in shock.

"You're a monster!" Her sister spat. "No you people are for making me see myself as an outcast and a reject!" Nikita spat before using her hand to move the couch to cut her siblings off.

Nikita rushed to the chest and grabbed the candles. She rushed outside and set up the candles. She lit them and stood up. She began to chant.

"Fumée chaleur vicieux enfermé les vitres la bas." She began quietly. The wind began to blow. The spell was starting to work. She got louder and soon the flames from the candles surrounded the house. Once the house was engulfed in flames she stopped chanting. She watched the house burn. Tears slipped from her eyes as she turned around. She held her bleeding arm and ran. She ran away from her burning house and into the woods. Twigs and rocks cut her feet but she didn't care. She kept running.

She ran deep into the woods. It was pitch black and she couldn't see a damn thing. Nikita tripped over a rock causing her to fall onto the dirty covered floor. She grunted and didn't move. She couldn't bring herself too. All her emotions were running wild. She let out a strangled cry and fire surrounded her. She couldn't believe what had happened. Her family tried to murder her and in the end they ended up dead. She pulled herself against a tree trunk and rested her head in between her knees, sobbing quietly. She was alone now. She had always felt alone but now she was officially alone. No parents, no siblings, no one that loved or cared for her.

Off in the distance Bonnie Bennett and Kai Parker roamed the woods, searching for the lost Gilbert dog.

"Why would you people give Elena Gilbert a damn dog if she can't take care of it?" The Hybrid asked annoyed that he had to be out in the woods so late. He'd rather be annoying Damon than looking for the dog. "Oh my god Kai just look for the dog." Bonnie told him while walking off into the woods. "Oh yeah go roam into the woods on your own BonBon! That's totally safe!" Kai yelled sarcastically.

He continued walking into the woods.

"Why couldn't we just do a damn locator spell." Kai muttered while kicking a rock. "Here doggy doggy!" He called.

Kai sniffed the air smelling burnt leaves.

"What the hell?" He walked towards the smell and stopped when he saw the circle of fire surrounding Nikita.

She was bloody and covered in dirt.

"Well you look like you've had a nice night." Kai said loudly catching her attention.

She weakly raised her head and saw the boy staring at her. Due to her exhaustion her eyes rolled to the back and she collapsed. The fire surrounding her went out as well.

"Oh great, she passed out." Kai muttered while letting out a sigh. He tilted his head at the girl. "Should I just leave her?" He asked himself. "No you shouldn't. God aren't you supposed to be changing?" Bonnie asked while rushing over to the unconscious girl. "You can't change a sociopath Bonnie!"
