Garin woke with a start when what felt like a cold, fleshy something smacked him in the face. His eyes flicked open as he shot up into a sitting position. Wide-eyed, he scanned the room, then turned to glance at his side when he thought he saw movement. He sighed in relief upon realizing it was only Nadia. He blinked a few times, attempting to wake up, and after giving each eye a healthy rub, he found himself staring at the wall in shock. This wasn’t because there was anything on the wall, but more than likely it was that he so happened to be looking at it when he finally was truly awake, and realized the implications of Nadia sleeping in his bed… with him. Slowly, he turned around, expecting his joints to creak loudly as a door’s hinge in need of oil. He stared at her for a long moment, wondering if it was okay to watch her sleep or not. Ultimately, he decided that such a thing wasn’t for him, and he found it to be… creepy, in a sense. He noticed her arm on his pillow, and tried not to wake her with his chuckles. It was likely that arm that had woken him in the first place. Now, he was wondering why he hadn’t woken up sooner; she had taken up almost the entirety of the bed… sprawled out and leaving him with only a sliver of space.
At least she is sleeping well. He thought to himself before carefully moving off the mattress. He was hungry already, and wanted to look around the house to make certain there weren’t any vulnerabilities that needed addressing before making breakfast.

When Nadia woke up, she could already smell breakfast cooking and found herself hovering out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. She had not honestly seen Garin cooking in quite some time, in fact, it almost surprised her that he hadn’t woken her up and told her to cook. She yawned and came up behind him, peering around his shoulder to see what he was making.
“I could have cooked...” She said, speaking softly. He was making bacon, which wasn’t all that surprising since it appeared to be the only thing he would eat.
“It’s fine, I thought you should sit and wake up a little more before we walk to Javik’s today.”
That was right, Nadia would be going to Javik’s to stay while Garin was doing bounties. She knew he had promised to come get her right after he was done working, but that didn’t help her feel any better about being away from home all day. She especially hated the idea of not being able to cook him dinner before he even came in the door. Also, not being able to work around the house was a bit frustrating too, she would have nothing clean before he came home. Despite it being for her own good, she hated the idea of not being home, and being in someone else’s house with someone else’s things. She wanted to cook and clean their home, not be subjected to sitting around and doing nothing but sewing all day.
If that was any consolation, sewing would be nice to catch up on. The baby still needed more clothes, and warm things as it may still be cold by then. She sighed heavily, sitting at the table with her elbow propped up on it, her chin rested on her palm.
“What’s wrong?”
“I won’t get anything done.” Nadia huffed.
“I don’t care about any of that, your safety comes first. Besides, it must be getting harder for you to do things around the house. You said yourself that your back has been aching terribly.”
