Summary: Basically what should have happened after Five ran away from dinner in the episode: Run Boy Run.

1 – I Want You To Stay

"Five!" Vanya exclaimed. "Five! Come back!" She ran out of her seat after her best friend. Her other siblings looked mortified at the fact that she was so suddenly leaving dinner.

"Number Seven! Sit down this instant!" Reginald Hargreeves ordered his daughter, but she just ignored him and ran after Five.

She could still see the outline of his running body in the distance.

"Five! Don't leave me!" She yelled desperately. He couldn't hear her.

He ran and ran, and she ran after him. It reminded her of all the times she played tag with him when they were younger. She almost smiled at the memory.

Almost.

She saw a faint glow starting to spread around his hands and started to panic.

He was going to do it. He was going to time jump.

She knew because she had seen him do it millions of times before.

But this time was different. This time, he wasn't in control of his emotions. She thought about what their father had said mere moments ago.

One is like sliding along the ice, the other is akin to descending blindly into the depths of the freezing water, and reappearing as an acorn.

Time seemed to slow as panic rose inside her.

She didn't wanna lose her best friend. She wasn't going to lose him.

Her eyes closed and she took a deep breath. Something inside her snapped as she reopened them. Something she hadn't felt before. Something so...foreign. It wasn't necessarily a bad feeling. It just felt different.

It started from her gut. But it rapidly set out towards the rest of her body and a warm feeling overtook her.

As if on instinct, she cupped her hands in front of her mouth and shouted with all her might, "Five! Don't leave me here alone!" A sound wave spread through the area.

The sheer volume of that sentence was enough to make every head in the area turn towards her, including Five's.

She smiled as she realised he'd heard her. But smiling was all she could do before crumbling to the ground.

When he saw his sister fall to the ground, Five immediately used his powers to jump behind her, just in time to catch her before she hit the ground.

She looked deadly pale in her black uniform and somehow, her hair had darkened a few shades.

He frantically moved her hair out of her face and called her name.

"Vanya?! Wake up! Wake up, please! Vanya, please wake up!"

A crowd had started to form around the pair, all curious about what was happening. It angered the boy who was desperately trying to wake his best friend.

"Go away!" he yelled at the people, some jumping back at the fury in his voice.

He cupped her head in both his hands and whispered, "Vanya... If you can hear me, please give me a sign."

A soft groan, barely audible, escaped her pale lips and she opened her eyes in slits. The sun was shining too bright, plus she was too exhausted to open her eyes fully. But it didn't matter, that was all the confirmation Five needed.
