Don had already told Glenn, now I just had to tell James. I only had to corner him to do so.
"James." I huffed, shoving his against the wall. "Can you stay still for like five seconds?"
He pulled his eyebrows together, glancing down to my hands firmly grasping his shoulder. He then looked to my face and asked, "What, Christy?"
"Well..." I hesitated, looking back to Don.
He only shrugged as if to say, say it already.
I looked back up to James and firmly said, "Don told me I can live with him so that is what I am to do."
That is what I am to do? You said it like that? My thoughts echoed, instantly making my stomach churn with anxiety.
James looked at me dead in the eye with an expression that said, Really? This is what you wanted to tell me?
He lifted his arms, put his hand on my shoulders and replied, "okay," before pushing me away.
"Wait, you're letting me do it?" I asked in disbelief.
"It's what you wanted isn't it?"
I glanced back at Don and breathed, "yes."
"Alright, do you want me to leave now or stay until you're at their place?"
"Uhhh..." I looked to Don.
"It's your choice, baby." He said.
"Choose, Christy." James demanded, impatients lacing his tone.
I didn't know. I didn't care. I couldn't choose. I just stood there, shrugging and shaking my head.
"Alright, well, I'm leaving.." He walked up to me, pulling me into a hug and kissing my forehead. "I love you, goodbye."
And with that, James Harper walked out. Leaving me to stand there, not believing what he had just done.

A few hours later, we arrived at the apartment Don and Glenn still shared.
Don was on the phone for about an hour while Glenn and I sat on the beds opposite to each other, talking.
"Do you need me to move in with Jackson?" He asked.
"No, Don said we'd look for a house. Not sre where, but we'll look."
"Okay. I was gonna suggest that next."
I rolled my eyes at his lie and said, "You stay and give Jackson his space. He's finally got a larger space to himself, let him have it."
"You're right." He nodded.
"I know I am."
Don, who was apparently listening while we were talking, smirked at me and turned his head back to the window.
"But now I'll be all alone here." He whined.
"Glenn, please," I rolled my eyes again with an even wider smile. "You'll find some girl from the bar and take her home."
"Yeah..."
"That actually sounds lonely too." Don said, holding the receiver away from his mouth.
Glenn and I looked to him. He sounded as though he was talking to the person in the other line. The way he looked at us out of the corner of his eye told us otherwise.
"Alright, I love you too." He smiled. "Bye."
Don hung up the phone and continued to smile at us.
"That's like the third time you've said goodbye for that one phone call." Glenn said.
