This story (if I choose to write it) will take place two years after the events of Gravity Falls. I plan to write about some of Dipper's and Mabel's home life before they return there for the summer, which is basically what this snippet is going to show. Enjoy!
*Also, sorry, I kinda had to cut it up into three parts, so it may be choppy.Gravity Falls Story
"Hey, Dipper! You wanna go on a bike ride with me?" Mabel calls, putting on her shoes. "Sorry, Mabel. I've got homework." Dipper mumbles, dragging his backpack over to his bedroom. "Aw, c'mon, bro bro! Can it wait? You've been working all week!" Dipper shakes his head. "Sorry, Mabel." He shuts the door to his room. Mabel sighs and bites her lip. Dipper always was a workaholic, but he's been working himself to the bone lately. She can hear him rustling around in his room at night, working on some "project". Dark circles have started to form under his eyes. Mabel kicks off her shoes and heads to the kitchen, thinking that she should probably get dinner going before it gets too late.
. . .
"Dipper!" Mabel calls, setting plates out on the table. "Dinner's ready." When there is no answer she sighs and walks to his door. "Dipper." She taps on the door. He didn't like it when she opened his door without knocking first. There's a small murmur from behind the door, and the knob turns. Dipper opens the door ajar, one of his brown eyes peeking through the crack. "What?" He sounds slightly irritated. "Dinner's ready." Dipper shuts the door. "I'm good, thanks." Mabel grabs the door handle, but it's locked. "Dipper, c'mon, you're worrying me!" There's a slight shuffle of papers before he responds with, "I'm ok." "No, you're not ok! You need to take care of yourself. I'm not going to live with you for your entire life!" There's silence. Mabel sits on the carpet, back to her brother's door. "I know you've been lying to me about eating your lunches. Grace told me you just scribble in your notebook during lunch." She ruffles her sweater sleeve. "What are you really doing in that room of yours?" "I told you, I'm—" "I'm not stupid!" Mabel yells, slamming a fist on the door. She rarely ever raised her voice at anyone, especially Dipper. "Mabel..." His voice is soft. "Come eat. Before it gets cold." Mabel gets up and sits at the kitchen table. There's a pause, but the door unlocks and the knob turns. There's a shuffle of feet, and Dipper sits down.
. . .
The door shuts once more. Mabel sighs. Well, she thinks, at least he got some food in him. Mabel kicks up her feet and turns on a show, but her mind restless. What on earth is in that room of his? She tries to distract herself with the show, but her mind can't take it anymore. She quietly gets up and softly walks to Dipper's door—he left it unlocked this time. She slips inside and is immediately greeted by a frightening sight.
There are messages and ciphers scrawled all over the walls.

BUY GOLD!"Mabel! I told you not to come in my room!" Dipper's voice breaks through Mabel's thoughts. "Dipper... What's going on?!" She whirls around to look at him, but covers her mouth at the sight of his face.
His eyes are yellow with an elongated pupil. We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when!
"I know we'll meet again some sunny day!"
