Chapter {3}- The Truth Unveiled

Klaudia's POV
As we entered the room I noticed that it was sound proof and there were sounds of water dripping from a faucet as I saw the some seats and a table. Ryder, as he told us to call him, told us to sit down.

We sat and Ace suddenly hopped off of Mr. Lee's lap and sat on my lap as I played with his ash brown hair. " We'll ask you some questions and then you are good to go, okay Ms White?" said Ryder. I nodded. He went outside and came back with a clipboard and pen as he shut the door. I saw that Ace was getting scared by his actions. " It's ok, he's just going to ask me questions and then we can go home. How does McDonalds and Fortnite sound, huh?" I whispered to him. His face lit up at the mention Fortnite and he nodded so vigorously that I thought his head would fall off of his shoulders.

I chuckled silently but it radiated off the metal walls and echoed across the room. Mr. Lee and Ryder both laughed at his actions. " It's ok little buddy. If you want we'll ask your sister less questions and let you go quickly." said Ryder. At this I shook my head and said, " It's ok. You can ask me as much questions as you like-" but Ryder cut me off " We'll be asking you some short questions and then tomorrow, if you can, could please come with us, after school, to identify some things while we investigate?" " Sure." " Can I come too? Please sis, please! I promise I'll behave!"  said Ace. "No yo-" I was gonna tell him to stay home but Mr. Lee cut me off by saying " Aww, let the poor boy come Ms White. How can you resist those puppy eyes?" I've lived long enough with him to resist those puppy eyes but I agreed as Mr. Lee requested it.

" Okay, lets get on with the questioning." said Ryder with a more serious voice. " What's the gender of the murderer?" asked Ryder. "It's a man." I replied. " Can you tell us anything about how he looked?" asked Ryder. " Yes. He was grim faced with tanned skin and had dark brown eyes with a blunt nose and light brown hair and I'm guessing he's in his late thirties." I replied trying as hard as I could to remember him. Ryder and Mr. Lee looked shocked and Ryder spoke up by saying, " That's enough information to catch him! Brilliant! We could put up a poster. Thank you so much Ms White. That should be enough information. You can go home now."

" Your welcome. I'll be going now and I'm glad that I came of use. Bye Mr. Lee and Ryder." I replied. " Bye bye Mr. Lee! Bye bye Ryder! See you tomorrow!" Ace said enthusiastically. " Show some manners! Their not your friends!" I told him with a punch on his shoulder as we were outside of the police station. " It's ok. Let me send you guys home. Now now, don't say no. You guys helped us so much and it's already dark outside. We don't want to lose you kids now do we?" said Mr. Lee. We agreed and got on his car as we waved Ryder goodbye. " What's your address?" asked Mr. Lee. "
Oh it's 24 Clover Street, Lane- 6, house no. 4." I replied. He nodded and started driving.

I felt a head drop on my shoulder and turned to see Ace sleeping peacefully on my shoulder. I gently put my hand under his head and put in on my lap and he looked so peaceful so I didn't want to wake him up. But I had to as Mr. Lee told us that we were here. I woke Ace up and he looked so sleepy that I carried him to our house. Before Mr. Lee left Ace softly mumbled, " Bye Mr. Lee" at which Mr. Lee just smiled. We bid goodbyes and I went in the house and put Ace in my bed. He can sleep with me tonight. I changed his clothes (A/N: Btw guys he's only 7) and then I changed into my PJs and decided to close the windows and doors. It took a long time since our house is the biggest in our neighbourhood. I, then, decided to text Sky.

Okay! She's d-dead! She died in a car crash yesterday night! E-everyone s-survived but she took the hit instead of her s-s-sister...
            * Outside the chat room *

Tears welled up in my eyes and without knowing it, one fell from my eyes. I silently cried as I pictured her smiling and laughing with us just the day before her tragic incident. When we went to hang out at the amusement park with her and Sky. I remember her bushy brown hair that always used to come in between when we talked. I heard the notifications indicating that Sky was trying to contact me but I ignored it. I'll talk to her tomorrow at school.

I ran to my room and took a frame from the three frames that were always kept on my desk.

One with the picture of my family : Mum, Dad, Fleur, Jocelyn, Ace, Midnight and Nightangle and me. All smiling and laughing.

Then one with my bffs: Sky, 'Mione and me. Me and 'Mione were smirking and had goofy grins as Sky was blushing from getting caught while looking at her crush.

The other one had some helpful quotes which always cheers me up.

I took my bffs one and ran to the living room. I plopped myself on the couch and cried myself to sleep, without knowing it, while clutching the photo.

Hey guys! I did a double update today as I haven't been updating for a while. I might even do a triple update!

So what do you think happens now that Klaudia finds out that Hermione is dead? Will she be cold and indifferent towards Sky for lying to her? Or will she simply forgive her? And what do you think happens when she goes to the investigation with Ryder and Mr. Lee? Are they trustworthy or not?? Stay tuned for the next chapter and you shall know!
