*Meanwhile in another dimension*
Xander's POV
I woke up to find out that I had slept in the lab. AGAIN. I checked my watch, as I saw it was 4 am in the morning. I yawned as I made myself a coffee and went to the balcony.
'Even at this time, Syntic City never fails to show it's beauty.' I thought as I watched the view.
The high and small buildings going up and down, vivid colours mixing with each other to make a beautiful shade of rainbow. The peaceful and still dawn sky, with a light breeze was just half the effect.
As I looked at the scenery, I felt it getting a little blurry. "Shit! I didn't wear my glasses!" I exclaimed as went to my desk to find it. After rummaging a little, I found my glasses and as I put it on I saw a piece of rock on my table.
It had magnificent coloured lights coming out of it. It was quite hard but I didn't dare to touch it. I didn't know what that was and it might harm me.
"In my 15 years of existence never have I ever seen anything like this!" I exclaimed.
Though it did sound exaggerated, it actually wasn't. I didn't touch it as I kept on examining it. After I did touch it, I was engulfed in a white light.
When I woke up I found myself in a white room.
'Hello Xander.' said an all too familiar voice. "Who ar— WAIT A SECOND, is that you, Raiden?" I asked, surprised. 'Yup. Glad to see you remember me, dude.' his voice said, as he appeared in front of me.
I met him 9 years ago, while accompanying my dad on a mission, and we became best buddies after that. And I, for sure, know that he is a god.
"Hey, looking good, aren't ya?" I said, locking him in a headlock, just like what we used to do when we were younger. "Hey! Let me go!" He chuckled as I let go of him. "Anyways, why'd you bring me here?" Raiden gave me an uneasy look as he started "Well, you see, I've got a mission...."
*After explaining cause your author-nim is lazy af*
"So, yeah, that's it." Raiden said. "Okay. well, first of all I'm mind-blown. Second of all, it can't be true because I wasn't born with powers, that's why I became a scientist instead. And third of all, you know I'm with people so me, having teammates? HECK NO!" I said with a huff as I crossed my hands over my chest. "Hey, the third point's not true!" Raiden said. "Oh, so beating the fuckin' shit out of you on our first meeting means I'm fine with people, huh?" I said. "Well, I did scare you off and you did that for self defence. So, that doesn't count, right?" Raiden said giving me an uneasy look. I didn't change my expression or posture.
"Okay, Okay. I get it. But they're nice people so I'm sure you'll get along with them. I've already informed one of them about your arrival. That person also has another one of your teammates with her." said Raiden.
After a lot of convincing and a few threatenings (that would be Raiden) I finally said yes. He said bye as the scene faded to a robotic looking house.

Klaudia's POV
Diamonique and I were having fun cooking pasta when a sudden 'Hey guys!' made us jump 5 feet into the air.
"Can you please start talking to us without scaring the shit out of us. You scared the living daylights out of me!" I said with a pissed off look, hugging a scared Diamonique. She gets scared easily of small things, especially if it's a jump scare.
