Two Moons, Two Brothers, Two Slayers

Part I: A Normal Day (Prologue)

3 Days before chaos...

I wake up to the sun in my face and my little brother softly shaking me.

"Big Brother"

I groan and turn in bed.

(Y/N): "Five more minutes..."

"C'mon big brotherrrrr, it's morning alreadyyyy."

I turn towards him as my hair falls over one of my eyes and he smiles.

"Let's go see Cowgirl!"

I get up, put on a shirt and ruffles his hair, smiling I said,

(Y/N): "You really like her huh, Chibi Slayer."

Chibi Slayer: "You know I hate that name!"

(Y/N): "C'mon, it fits you, now let's go to your girlfriend~"

Chibi Slayer: "She's not my girlfriend!"

He hits my shin with his small wooden sword that our father gave to him before he left.

Unfazed by the strike, I carry my brother on my shoulders as he hits my head with the sword.

Walking downstairs we go to the kitchen where I see my mom and sister(s).

(Y/N): "Morning mom."

Mom: "Morning sweeties."

Chibi Slayer stops hitting me and runs to mom and hugs her

Chibi Slayer: "Morninggg!"

He lets go of her and starts to quickly eat breakfast.

Mom: "Slow down, the food isn't going anywhere."

(Y/N): "He can't help it, he's trying to go see his girlfriend~"

My older sister giggles as my little brother slams his hand on the table

Chibi Slayer: "She's not my girlfriend!"

Once he finishes his food he puts his plate in the sink. He grabs his sword and glares at me before bolting off.

I soon after finish my breakfast and was going to go before mom called me.

Mom: "Sweetie, can you come here for a minute?"

'I'm probably in trouble' I thought to myself.

(Y/N): "Yeah Mom?"

Mom: "Do you really think your brother likes her...?"

(Y/N): 'What's this about?' "I mean, look at how he acts when I tell him."

Mom: "I was afraid you were going to say that..."

(Y/N): "Mom? What's wrong?" concern and worry filled my voice

I turn around to see my sister giggling

(Y/N): "What's so funny"

Sister: "You're so dense it's hilarious. You know that Cowgirl has a crush on youuu~"

(Y/N): "Stop messing around"

Sister: "Well you can say no to me, but can you say no to her?"

(Y/N): "She likes my brother...not me and that's final... The nights have been getting colder... I'll go chop some wood..."

I sling the old wood chopping ax over my shoulder and walk out.

(Y/N): "I need to let off some steam."

As i walk past some guys looking down at the dirt, I can't help but hear something that caught my attention.

Man 1: "Look at all those footprints..."
