| The strange traveler|

I had just finished doing small jobs around the city and was now searching for my older brother who had run off somewhere. After running around for a few minutes I finally saw him standing on a ledge looking down at a group of mean looking men cornering a small group of merchants. I smiled seeing at what my brother was doing now. I managed to scale to the wall and stood beside the taller purple haired boy.
"People are like the waves," my brother, Sinbad announced as he jumped. I sighed but soon followed suit. "And no wave is stronger than ME!" He yelled before slamming his foot into one of the mean looking men. I landed on the ground and was quickly surrounded.
"Oh?" One said, "And what does a little girl thinks she can do?"
"Well mister," I smiled innocently. "I was planning on shoving my foot up all your asses until they came outta your mouths!" I yelled now slightly ticked off.
"Language Amaris!" Sinbad yelled whilst knocking out yet another thief.
"Sorry. Sorry!" I giggled scratching the back of my neck. I charged towards the thief standing in front of me and quickly slammed my foot into his face, making him slam into the wall behind him. "One down, four to go!" I quickly ran to attack the rest. A thin looking thief swung his fist and barely missed my face. My eyes narrowed as I grabbed his fist and swung the man into his comrades knocking them all out.
Soon all the thieves were defeated. I turned and ran towards Sinbad and the ladies surrounding him.
"Thank you so much!" one of the girls said.
"You both were super strong!" The younger one said.
"No, not really we just read their waves is all," Sin chuckled and I nodded.
"How can we thank you for saving us?"
"No thanks needed!" I smiled.
"You're actually transporting goods without a guard to accompany you?" Sin questioned.
"Yes, our father and brother were sent to war."
"It was the same in neighboring cities too," The old man said. "Must've gotten out of military duty and became thieves to survive." I smiled sadly looking at the pile of thieves passed out on the ground.
"I know, why don't you just hire us?" Sin said trying to capture the opportunity, "Since there's no use for fishing right now we're looking for work." Sin grabbed the ladies hands and swooned them.
One of the girls explained that they had no use for guards since they were taking the sea route and offered us fresh fruit, which we happily accepted.
"You can have the ones from this barrel they're the best ones!" She said pulling off the lid and revealed a blonde man in a big hat. He looked up sleepily and took in the environment.
"Please don't open without permission!" He yelled pulling the lid down.
---
"Thank you for your help earlier," The blonde said as we continued to walk home.
"No problem, but what were you doing in there?" Sin questioned.
"Yeah mister it's kinda strange to sleep in other people's fruit barrels," I said staring up at the sun which was very bright today.
"It's not obvious?" I looked up at him, "It's dark, narrow and comfortable in a barrel."
"You really are strange mister," I giggled.
"And you're absolutely positive that it's okay for me to stay at your house for a while?" he questioned.
"Yeah, it's completely natural to help someone in trouble."
"And company is fun to have around!" I looked ahead and saw the village and started running towards it.
"We're back and we have fresh fruit!" I yelled trying to get some of the children to come over.
"Did you and Sinbad happen to get a job?"
"Nah but we got lots of fruits!" I smiled as I saw Sinbad and the Yunan quickly approach. Sinbad started to pass around the fruit. We made our way through the village helping others as we got closer and closer to home.
"You brought a guest with you?" Mother asked before going into a fit of coughs. Sinbad quickly got her back into bed. I sighed sadly and started talking to Yunan, before falling asleep.
I woke up to see that Sinbad was already gone and Yunan was helping my mother who started coughing again. I rushed over to sit over to my mother as she explained to the man on how she felt she was weighing us down. I shook my head.
"Mother I swear I'll change the world so no more people have to suffer," I announced, my normal happy persona was gone and there was a serious look on my face.
"It's terrible!" One of the village women cried. "You have to come quick, Esra... Amaris, It's Sinbad!"I gasped before quickly helping my mother go to where all the commotion was. I stood the right beside mom and Yunan as tears started to brim my eyes. There laid Sinbad all beaten up with several swords pointed at him.
"Hey, who do you think we are." Sin stood up, "We're not lapdogs for the military to use!" Soon all the villagers started yelling at the dragon-like man.
"You have a mother and sister don't you?," He questioned. "If you don't cooperate they will get your punishment," he smirked seeing my brother's reaction. He soon started talking, explaining that they wanted to capture the 2 dungeons that had appeared. The man walked off with his soldiers and Yunan and I rushed to go help Sinbad.
"I'll be shipped off to one of the Dungeons soon, over 10,000 soldiers died in both." Sinbad sighed as he leaned against a wall. "I can't die yet.. I have to live for mom, Amaris, and everyone in the village."
"Can't you get out of the draft," Yunan questioned.
"You heard him, didn't you? I'll die anyway!" Yunan was trying to convince Sin to go to the dungeon.
"Go to the dungeon and gain its power."Yunan said, "Become the new king you, after all, said 'Humans and oceans, both are like the waves. There's no wave I can't overcome."
"Sinbad you're strong, you'll be able to do it." I cheered. Yunan convinced him to go, I smiled sadly.
"Sin let me go with you!" I have to protect my older brother I don't want to see him hurt again. Tears brimmed my eyes but I didn't cry.
"No!" Sinbad yelled, "You're only 12 you're too young and you might die." I sighed, staring at the ground.
"You might die too!" I argued, "And what will I do if that happened?" I felt some of the tears fall down my face. "You.. you idiot," I mumbled walking away. I turned a few corners and Yunan in front of me.
"Weren't you ju-" I was confused it wasn't possible for him to be here.
"Listen closely Amaris," Yunan said staring down at me. "Rember, there's another Dungeon. Whichever Dungeon Sinbad goes in.. Head for the opposite one. Gain its power and make your dream become a reality."
"I'm supposed to go alone?" 10,000 guards died trying to defeat it, how was I a 12-year-old supposed to defeat it.
"You won't be alone, the stars will guide you." He said smiling to the moon, "Take this." He pulled a dagger out of his pocket. "Legend says that this dagger was owned by the lady of the moon, She'll protect you." I nodded, I needed this power to change the world and to protect Sinbad.
"Thank you, Yunan, but who exactly are you?" It was strange why would he know so much about the dungeons.
"I'm simply a traveler," Leaping into the air dissolving into beautiful butterflies. It was already dark outside the moon shined brightly and I quickly went home. Apparently, mom gave Sinbad Dad's sword I smiled as I drifted asleep.
