Chapter 2

The day had finally arrived, I was standing one some buildings that gave me a perfect view of the two dungeons. A huge crowd of soldiers seemed to be preparing to enter the Dungeon farthest away when I noticed a familiar silhouette and immediately started running to the Dungeon closest to me. Sinbad was entering the farther Dungeon with all of those soldiers.

" I guess they don't want to lose too many troops in one day," I mumbled walking up to the entrance of the deserted dungeon. I looked up at the sky one last time and noticed a sparkle in the sky. "I'll be fine the stars will guide me..." I whispered shakily taking a step into the Dungeon.

I looked around, the air was humid, I could barely see, and I was apparently sitting on the cold ground. I got up and pulled my dagger up, I didn't know what to expect. I'm going to have to fight creatures that have killed over 10,000 military soldiers. I followed the only passageway which leads me to a huge clearing.

"Are those flying pigs..?" I questioned in disbelief as I witnessed several plump pink pigs with white wings fly around. There were bright lights coming from the ponds surrounding the grassy clearing. I walked over trying to keep as much space between me and the water. In the pond, there was a huge snake-like fish with a big shiny gem between its eyes. My eyes widened in horror when it noticed me. The creature flew out of the water making me stumble back and fall.

It came rushing down ready to attack when I managed to dodge in the tick of time, I got up on my feet and started sprinting. I felt a sharp pain in my leg causing me to fall and tumble through the grass. There was the fish creature attached to my leg as it most likely sucks my blood. I drew my dagger from its pocked and proceeded to stab it where I thought the brain way. It soon stopped moving giving me a sigh of relief. I pulled its mouth open and released my foot, I also decided to take the gem that was planted on its head.

I looked around and saw that the pigs were no longer pink and white, instead, they were a dark red color and had black wings. I gasped as one tried flying into me, before it could I stab my dagger into its side, killing it. I made a run for the giant door I had noticed but quickly realized it needed some kind of key. I looked at the shape of the slot and realized it looked like the gem from earlier. I pulled it out of my shirt and quickly placed it into the slot. I managed to make it through before the pigs came flying back.

There was a large Venus flytrap-like plant that had a diamond in its mouth.

I smirked as I started to sprint towards it. My vision was blocked by what seemed to be something brown and fuzzy. I looked up and saw a bear looking down at me.

"Its cute," I mumbled. Soon I remembered that I was in a dungeon meaning it was dangerous. "I'm sorry," I whispered as I shoved my dagger into the bear's stomach. I sighed as I watched it drop dead and I continued to make my way to the plant. Before its leaves could grab me I ran around the stem cutting it with my blade.

I wheezed as I felt a pain in my left arm. There was a tiny plant that bit my arm. I quickly pulled it off and saw that part of my skin was turning purple. I hissed in pain and jumped on top of the carnivorous plant and ripped the diamond out of its mouth. I knew I had no way to kill it so I used its mouth as solid ground. I leaped into the air putting a hole in its mouth I flew into the air and was now hanging from the door.

I grabbed the diamond-like object and shoved it into the door. It opened outwards causing to swing down. I firmly grabbed on to the door and swung my body inside. Inside the strange room stood a massive pig. I smirked sneaking behind it and jumped onto its back. It immediately woke up and started flying, I stabbed my dagger into its back so I wouldn't fall. All I could feel was a stinging pain coming from my left arm. The purple was spreading.

"Shit," I hissed. "I have to finish this quickly." I pulled out my dagger and started running towards the pigs head. I pushed my dagger down as my body slid down the pig with the dagger in hand. There was a large gash in its back. I pushed my dagger deeper and deeper into its head until the pig stopped flying. I realized how bad of a decision that was. I quickly leaped off the pig landing roughly on the ground. I ran towards the large door that was now visible and pushed it open and ran in.

There were many challenges many of them I ran into blindly just trying to finish to prevent the purple from spreading. It's been a day since I entered the dungeon, and I now realized why Sinbad didn't want me to go with him. He's gonna be so angry to know I did this all on my own. I smiled running ahead to the next door, I pushed it open and was quickly blinded by the light.

"This must be the end," I said as I roamed around the bright room that was filled with many treasures. One object caught my attention it was a lamp that had an 8 pointed star I picked it up and a blue mist came out and materialized. "What the..?" I trailed staring at the huge monstrous blue creature in front of me.

"I am Beleth the 13th Djinn love and Wind. Who is it who will become King?" It roared causing me to hear ringing for a few seconds. This must be what Yunan was talking about when he said the power to become king. I took a deep breath and mustered up as much courage as I could.

"It is I who will become king!" I announced taking a step forward.

"Oh, a human child?" It questioned, although it seemed to be amused. It took a few steps until it was basically breathing down on me. I gulped.

"Yes, I am Amaris, a citizen of Parthevia," I said staring straight into its black button-like eyes.

"And why would a mere little girl desire the power to become King?" It questioned getting closer.

"I have a dream to end the suffering of as many people as possible," I said becoming less scared of this 'Djinn'. The monstrous creature started laughing but the pitch got higher as it transformed into a giant blue female with dark blonde hair and button eyes.

"Kid I gotta admit you're pretty courageous," she laughed, taking a few steps back.

"So you're not some type of monstrous creature?" I asked now slightly relieved at the appearance of the Djinn. She shook her head no while smiling, I let out a sigh of relief.

"You have guts kid," she said. "I'll grant you the honor of being my master. Also, I will take the liberty of healing your arm and leg." I closed my eyes I felt a rush of coolness when I opened my eyes my leg and arm were completely healed.

"Thank you, Beleth," I touched my arm to check it was completely healed, which it was.

"No problem Amaris," She said before she flew into my dagger, now on the blade there was the same 8 pointed star that was on the lamp.
