Chapter Four: Black Out

***

Cold wind enveloped Faier's spacious room as she sat infront of her study table, brows slightly furrowed in deep concentration, legs crossed and head resting on her proped arm as she stare blankly at space.

She's back to her usual grumpy morning self but it was only because something felt wrong. She woke up only to find out that her heart was beating fast. It was weird because it was a serene dreamless sleep she woke up from.

A knock on her door pulled her out of her trance. She got up and opened the door only to find Lilach with tray on hand, and a warm smile plastered on her freckled face.

"Good morning, breakfast for M'lady." Lilach said, her English accent dominating. She opened the door wider letting Lilach in. She watch as Lilach carefully set her breakfast on the balcony.

"Thanks Li." Was all she said before Lilach left. Sighing, she made her way to the balcony and sat on the guardrail. Something that everyone forbids but she often does. She went down only to get a piece of freshly baked croissant bread and pour some hot chocolate drink on a cup.

She took a sip before letting out a sigh. She's been keeping herself from calling her father because she knew well that it'll only make her miss him more. She's hoping he would make a call though.

As if on cue her phone started to ring pulling her out of her trance. She checked her phone only to see her bestfriend's name on the screen.

"Hey." She said through the speaker.

"What's all the sad face about?" Jairus deep voice said through the speakers. Faier's mood instantly lit up and she looked down only to see Jairus looking like he just flew out of a fashion magazine. The smile on his face automatically caused her lips to curl into a smile.

"Aren't you too early mister?" She replied taking in Jairus' appearance. His blonde hair up in a quiff, plain white v-neck shirt hugged his strong built and denim jeans.

"I just can't wait to see my girl." He replied, with a grin plastered on his handsome face.

"Yeah?" Faier said cocking an eyebrow.

"My girl, why? Aren't you my girly best friend?" He said with a wink.

"Ha ha. And you're my manly bff. Don't you wanna come up and have breakfast?" Faier asked.

"I'd love to but I'm already full." Jairus replied.

"Wait up I'll just go get my things." She said before ending the call. She quickly changed into white jeans and black sweat shirt, slipped on some boots before making her way downstairs with the tray on her hand.

"Yah!" Jammy squealed as she saw her carrying her tray. "Let me do that you naughty little princess." She added snatching the tray out of her grasp.

Laughing at Jammy's behaviour. She stuck her tongue at her then rushed to the kitchen. Where she found her nanny washing the dishes.
