Chapter Four: Fueled Hatred
*
Cleah let out a short scream before slamming her hands on the stirring wheel. She was more than angry, hell she was furious.
Her father, went home early after getting a call from their campus dean saying that she was again involve in a campus misdemeanour.
"You we're such a disappointment Cleah."
Her father's voice kept ringing in her head. The words stung, cutting deep through her heart like a knife.
"Daddy!" Cleah gleefully squeaked, surprised to see her father at home early.
"Cleah." The tone was foreign. There was a slight coldness and a hint of annoyance to it. She was slight taken aback by this but Cleah shook it off quickly knowing that his father might just be tired.
"Do you want something? Do you want me to make you some coffee?" She asked smilling, but her smile quickly fade off when she heard her fathers next sentence.
"I know what happened earlier. Mrs. Cornell called me." His voice, stern and authoritative. Something that she thought he'll never use when talking to her.
"Did she tell you I was defending myself?" She said in defense, judging by the tone, she thought that it must be that he heard wrong.
"She told me you went all out on a freshmen for bumping you." Her father said.
"No I didn't! I was just mad because I know she did it on purpose." Cleah said whining like a child.
"I talked to Ms. Stacey. The one who 'accidentally' bumped you." His father said, looking intently at her.
"Accident?" Cleah almost yelled.
Her father frowned. A crease appearing between his grayish eyebrows."How dare you raise your voice on me?" He snapped. "I never taught you to do such thing." His father said, eyes closed, head shaking in disapproval. "You we're such a disappointment Cleah." He added looking sadly at his daughter.
Cleah backed away hurt. She stood for a while waiting for his father to take the words back. But he never did.
"Damn you Faier." She said through gritted teeth, face contorted in anger. Blaming Faier for everything. "If she didn't act like the attention seeking bitch she was, this would never happen." She said to herself. Cleah sped up the car not caring about the speed limit. "Damn you." She yelled, she stepped on the breaks when she reached her destination.
Tall lean looking guys was standing right infront of the entrance, wearing matching black top with pants. People are huddled up in a line, waiting for their turn to come in.
Cleah walked straight through the entrance not bothering to give a second look to the people she passed through.
"Good evening ma'am." Said one of the lean guys. They both look surprised and anxious about her sudden appearance, Cleah walked right past them without even sparing them a glance.
A loud electronic music filled Cleah's ears. She made her way through a small hallway where couples and groups are huddled on the sides with drinks at hand.
The strong smell of alcohol hit her nostrills. Walking further to the hallway, she finally was welcomed by flashing lights, illuminating the place which was surprisingly full packed even though it's only the first day of the week. The music became louder, the loud booming invigorating her tensed body. She soon relaxed to the music letting her mind flew somewhere else. She danced to the upbeat song, swaying her hips and grooving to the beat.
Her effortless dancing gained a lot of attention, the dance floor cleared out giving her some space. The ladies watched her with envy while the guys watched her with pure amusement. A lot of men tried to dance with her but she got bored so she walked away and went to the bar counter instead.
"Cleah!" A man chimed. She looked up and smiled to a young man who had a smirk on his face. It was dark but his strong features was clear. He flicked his dark colored hair before speaking. "Fancy seeing you here." He yelled through the loud music. Panting, Cleah ran through the man's arms and hugged him tight. The man was slightly taken aback by the sudden gesture but soon loosen up and gladly returned the gesture.
He look at the girl in his arms, her blonde hair all tousled but she doesn't seem to care. He wonder why is she suddenly being like this. Then he felt her shoulders shaking, giving him the impression that the girl is crying. He placed one hand on her chin and forced her to look up. His face contorted in anger when he saw Cleah's eyes filled with tears. Thinking who the culprit was, he gently guide Cleah to an empty V.I.P. lounge. The music can still be heard but not too loud that voices can be heard without shouting.
"What happened?" He said trying to regain his composure. "Who made you cry?" His voice was calm, yet dipped with venom. Cleah wiped her tears and looked intensely to his eyes.
"Faier." She said weakly. Trying to keep herself from smirking. The man's face instantly contorted with anger at the mention of the name. "She's hurting me Ash, please do something." She added, bursting into tears. The man pulled her into a comforting embrace.
"What do you want me to do? Just say it." Ash replied.
"I want you to teach her a lesson, Ash. She won't stop hurting me." She replied clinging into the man's arms. She placed one hand on Ash's built Abdomen.
"You know I'll do anything for you. I promise I'll make her pay." He said. Victory. Cleah thought to herself. Her lips twitched into a smirk. She knew she had Ash wrapped around her fingers. She knew he'd do anything for her.
"I love you Ash." She said emotionless. She felt almost, sickening saying those words. But she had too, and Ash is a very good looking guy so it's worth the catch. She thought.
She looked up and planted her lips on his. It was a kiss that Ash gladly return, thinking that the woman he love has the same feeling for him.
"Just wait Faier, it's my turn to hit home run."
