I woke up at 6 o'clock by the smell of pancakes. I got dressed and went downstairs and I saw my mum making breakfast "hello mum" I said and hugged "hello Sophia, I made you pancakes" she said looking at me "so I figured" I said smiling.
You see, my mum is everything I have left. My father died when I was little and I never got the explanation why that happened. But I never bother to even ask my mum about it because she'll just get sad again.
"When are you leaving for Miami?" My mum asked "Today" I said shortly "I can't believe you got that job! I'm so exited for you" my mum said smiling, but I could tell that she was sad. I couldn't even look her in the eyes because all I could see was hurt, "I'm going to miss you a lot though" I said hugging her "you too baby girl" my mum said handing me the pancakes "thank youuuu" I said with my mouth half full of food. Gosh I'm going to miss these pancakes and just everything.
"Uhm I need to go pack the rest.. Tomorrow will be a long day" I said smiling a little.
* 3 hours later *
My mum stood there with tears in her eyes "call me when you get there" she said hugging me "of course I will mum" I said kissing her cheek. She smiled at me and said "but remember, do not fall in love with a boy with another tattoo" "mum! I'm not crazy" I said causing her to laugh. I walked away from her and I got to the gate.
"Passengers on flight D7564 to Miami, this is the last call to go to gate".
Okay Miami, here I come ! ! !
