Sabrina's POV
As the 1st April finally swing around I managed to organise a film night. I hadn't done one since before Christmas. I decided as it was the twins birthday I would treat them. So I let Lee, Alicia, Angelina and myself to come and watch it with them.
The film I choose was 101 Dalmatians. A film about Dalmatian puppy's who were dognapped, and have to make their journey back home.
As I sat down next to George on the sofa, I was in a daze at how happy I was at being there. Sitting with my best friends, feeling like I was at home. I didn't realise how much I missed them all.
Lee, with his poor, and usually inappropriate, jokes. Angelina, with her independent attitude. Alicia, with her sassy smart mouth. Fred, with his wise cracks at everything he sees – He could honestly make a joke about the walls surrounding us. And of course George. The best of the bunch. Smart, funny and a heart of gold. I don't know what I'd ever do without him. He keeps me strong. He keeps me - me. I'm only me when I'm with him.
The night had gone so well. But I made sure that they knew not to tell anyone else about it. I made a joke about it, saying everyone would want some special film night again - But really it was because of Connor. If he found out I had a film night without him is one thing. Finding out I had a film night with the twins, was a whole new level. I can't even imagine how he would react if he ever found out.
My Care of Magical Creatures class was cut short early on Friday afternoon, as Nelson from Ravenclaw decided not to listen to Professor Kettleburns warning about the older Unicorns not liking boys. He of course got seriously hurt and had to go to the Hospital Wing. None of the other students wanted to go near the Unicorns after that, so of course the class got cut short.
I decided to use the extra time to visit Hagrid. I hadn't seen him since he went to the Hog's Head to see Ab – and I mean I hadn't seen him anywhere. Not at breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Great Hall. Not even around the grounds, doing his Game Keeper's duties.
I knocked on his front door, and heard a pair of heavy feet shuffling around quickly.
"Hagrid?" I call out curiously. The door opens quickly.
"Oh Sabrina! Come in, come in" Hagrid beams at me, moving back into the hut quickly.
I walk inside watching Hagrid, as he hovers over the fireplace. The room is boiling hot. The sun is blazing through the cracks of the curtains, and the fire is burning on high. Hagrid's observing a large pot, that's siting over the roaring fire.
"Er Hagrid.....why is it so hot in here?" I ask, taking deep breaths from all the heat.
"Gotta keep it warm in 'ere" he begins, putting the lid back onto the pot "Got somethin' special brewin' I 'ave"
"What exactly are you brewing Hagrid?" I ask cautiously, taking off my cloak.
"Can ya keep a secret?" Hagrid asks in a whisper.
"For you? ..........Of course" I pause looking up into his deep brown eyes "I owe you my life Hagrid. I'd do almost anything for you" I smile sweetly. He gives me a small smile.
"I went to the pub las' week. There was a stranger there. He challenged me to some cards. We had had a few. But we played and I won" he beams at me excitedly "I won somethin' I always wanted - "
" - Oh Melrin!" I cut him off "You didn't win a dragon did you?"
He beams at me with an even bigger smile. He then gestures me over to the fireplace, lifting open the pot. I pear inside the pot, and I don't believe my eyes – Inside is a large black egg. A Dragon Egg!
