It was 11 p.m. December 12. outside was nothing but dark. Full  moon was shining from above touching all the rooftops.   Selina was wondering around the streets as her heavy boots crunched the snow underneath her weight. The wind blew her dirty blonde, almost shoulder length hair  away from her face revealing petite face. With eyes grey like the moon, and face white as snow.  She danced under the moonlight without a care in the world, like no one was watching she passed the few people going home  after work, washed up and lonely faces, living without a purpose, living to work, living for money.

What was the purpose of living.? She thought.
Was is the love everyone is seeking for, for someone to love them, to make them feel like they belong somewhere.

Maybe it was to be a legend, for someone to remember you after your death and envy you for your great works.

Or was it to leave someone after you. Live just to give life.

Selina didn't know her purpose. Why was she thrown on this planet but she always knew. There is a reason for her to be here.

Maybe she will soon find out. Maybe she will die not knowing her purpose.

Most parents wouldn't let their children to stay out late, but Selina didn't have parents, she had never met them. Selina never felt the need for parents she had always had her grandma Alice and that all she needed. Alice always went with the flow, letting Selina do whatever she pleased because she knew that Selina can take care of herself.

Finally finding the perfect place at the mountain top with view of all the city lights and moon so close like never before. Selina sat down leaning against an old maple tree. Under the moon she always felt like she belonged. Maybe it was because at school she was a loner whit out any friends or social life. She knew that someday she would have to find a job to make a living. She thought about it everyday but nothing ever interested her. Will she really work all her life a work she despite's.

Selina sat there for an hour before heading back to the city.

The city was usually quiet at this time. Some dogs howled now and then but that was it. Only few people were seen.

Selina walked home but something caught her eyes. A figure. What looked like a man in a long black coat was leaning against a wall in the alley with hood covering his head completely. He was holding a strange fair blue light in his hands. It didn't look like a flashlight rather more like a stone. Selina grew more curious and walked closer taking out her pocket knife. She moved closer and the light became stronger. The man stepped away from the wall still looking at his stone . And Selina knew that he was aware of her presence.

She didn't want to move closer but she didn't stop either it was like her legs had the mind of their own.

Now the light in the mans hand from light blue was dark blue. Selina finally stopped when the man put his stone in his coat pocket.

He turned his head towards Selina. He smiled at her and his eyes turned red. Selina didn't take the time to look and started running. She made a lot of turns hoping that he will lose his track. Looking behind her she made sure that he wasn't following her.

Selina turned back and ran into a body. It was him. He pinned Selina against a wall.

"Finally" he said in a husky voice with his eyes now normally brown. "I thought i will never find you". Selina was shaking not knowing what to do? She was too scared to even cry.
The man looked at her weirdly and reached to touch her cheek. His touch seamed poisonous to her.
" moon child?" He asked her.

Selina finally got her breath back. "I..i think yo...you have the wrong person. I have no idea what are you talking about". She cried out.

He didn't know what to say for a moment, then he got his sense back and laughed "Well i'll be damned. I would love to meet the person who had the courage to hide you" he laughed out loud stepping away from Selina.

She didn't run away and he found it fascinating. She looked about the same age as him. But he thought she was very brave to still stand there, or even look in his eyes. "Who are you?" She asked trying to sound as confident as possible but with her voice still shaking.

He stepped a step closer to her. "I my darling am a Raphael" he said and smirked at her.

Then suddenly in the distance "Raphael" someone yelled. Making him look to that direction. "Where are you. " he yelled again angry.

He looked back at Selina "that's an old friend" he said sarcastically . "It was lovely to meet you but i have to go now." He turned and started walking away. "Oh and don't forget i'm gonna come to get you" he said still walking, not even looking at her before he disappeared in the dark.

Selina ran to her apartment not stopping once. Finally she reached the door and went inside. Closing the door behind her she fell to her knees crying. She thought that she was going mad. First time in her existence she felt scared for her life.

She went to her bedroom and laid down in her bed still crying. She hoped that she will just wake up from a bad dream and all this would go away.but she didn't.
