A Happy Accident with iKon

Long Time No See

It's now the middle of December and the leaves were now completely off trees and the weather was cooling down immensely. It made all of us super excited since it meant winter was upon us and Christmas was just around the corner. This was going to be Mel and I's first Christmas here in Korea and first one being with iKon. All the boys came over for the day and helped Mel and I decorate our house from inside-out to get us into the Christmas spirit. Once we finished the putting up lights outside, hanging a wreath on the front door, placed knick-knacks all over the inside to add a little extra Christmas touch, etc, it was time to put up the tree. As Bobby and BI were bring it in from outside, I suddenly got a phone call. The moment I checked it, I realized it was from my parents so I answered it right away. We talked to each other for a couple minutes and throughout our conversation, my expression changed from neutral to over-joyed.

When I finally hung up the phone, I noticed everyone staring at me then Bobby asked,
"What was that all about?"
"Guys your not gonna believe this but...Mel's and I's parents are coming here to spend the Christmas holidays with us!!" I said as I saw Mel now jumping up and down in pure happiness.
"Oh my gosh this is amazing! Are we're gonna be able to meet them to?" Chan asked as him, June and DK were setting down the boxes full of different tree ornaments.
"I'm pretty sure because all of you, especially Bobby and BI, practically live here and this is where our parents are going to be staying." I explained.
"So when is their flight leaving?" BI wondered.
"Their heading to the airport early tomorrow morning so they'll be here like 12-13 hrs after that." I answered as everyone nodded.

After all of us calmed ourselves down from the excitement, Bobby and BI finished setting up the tree in the living room, then each of us grabbed a couple of random ornaments and began to bring this tree to life with the many bright colours. When the ornaments, lights, tinsel and garland were placed onto the tree, Mel put on the final thing which was the star tree topper. Once she was done, we all took a step back to admire the work that each of us put in to making this beautiful creation. Before Mel and I went to sit and relax, we quickly went to organize and clean the guest rooms that our parents would be sleeping in. We then went to relax with the boys for the rest of the day until they headed back to the dorm late in the evening.

The next morning came around and both Mel and I left to work for the day until we had to head to the airport. Since we were both excited to see them, the work day felt like it dragged on forever. Finally our shifts were over and Bobby and BI met us at our place so we quickly change and drive to the airport. Once we got there, we read on a TV what gate exit number and time the plane our parents were on would land. When we arrived at the right gate number, we waited for about 20-30 minutes when suddenly a large crowd of people walked through the doors. Mel and I searched around until finally we noticed them coming our direction so we waved to them letting them know where we were standing. The second they stood in front of us, I hugged my parents as Mel hugged hers and she said,
"Hey long time no see, we've missed you guys so much! Welcome to Seoul South Korea."
"So this is the place that you 2 were always rambling about throughout the years! This place does look really nice!" Her dad complimented.
"This is just the airport, wait until we step outside." I said which made everyone chuckle.
"Are these your boyfriends you 2 told us about?" My mom asked.
"Yeah. This is my wonderful boyfriend Jiwon but he goes by Bobby since that's his stage name!" I explained as I saw him walk up to my parents to shake their hands.
"Hello! Nice to meet you." Bobby said slightly nervously.
"So how long have you've been dating my daughter?" My dad asked curiously.

I looked at Bobby and I could tell he was becoming more nervous as time went on because he wanted to make a good first impression and he said,
"About 11 1/2 months! It will be a year just after the New Years!"
My parents looked at each other for a moment then back at him and my dad commented,
"Hmm that's not very that long actually."
Bobby noticed how calm my parents were being with him so he decided to try and do the same.
"Well Sir, it may not be very long but I happen to know your daughter inside and out!!" He said confidently but regretted it once he realized what he said.
All of us looked at him in complete shock since we all knew another meaning behind it. We all then started laughing so hard that we were practically crying and I said,
"Oh my gosh I can NOT believe you JUST said that!"
Both my parents were relatively surprised of what he just said but they laughed along anyways. Even though we were all dirty minded, they knew what he actually meant. I saw Bobby's cheeks still blushed and all he could do was stand there in silence.

~Mel's POV~
Once I broke the hug that I had with my parents, I looked at BI then back at them and said,
"Mom and dad, this is my amazing boyfriend Hanbin but you can call him BI if you want to!"
"Oh so your the one that our daughter has been bragging to us over the phone!" My mom said with a slight smirk.
"Ya that's me...Hello!" BI said while nervously waving at them.
"Man you really ARE handsome aren't you! Also don't be shy, you can be yourself around us." She commented.
"I totally agree. You should see him perform, he looks gorgeous!" I said as I eyed my man from head to toe.
"Thanks for saying such nice things but I'm not handsome." He said as he lightly rubbed the back of head and neck.
"Nonsense! You look absolutely stunning!" She complimented which made BI smile.
"Well we should head back to our place and unload your stuff, then you guys can meet the rest of our friends and we can go out for supper." Reanna explained as the rest of us nodded in agreement as we headed out of the airport.

~My POV~
When we arrived back at the house, Bobby and BI offered to carry our parents heaviest bags of luggage to their rooms and placed them onto the beds.
"Okay lets go meet up with the rest of the guys at the restaurant for dinner!" BI said as we headed back to the vehicle.
About 10 minutes later, we arrived at the restaurant that we were meeting with the rest of iKon. When we walked in, we noticed the other 6 members sitting at a large table that would fit all 12 of us. As we walked over to them, they stood up from their seats and bowed at our parents to greet them.
"Mom, Dad, Aunty and Uncle...this Jinhwan also known as Jay, Yoonhyung also as Song, DK which is short form for Donghyuk, Junhoe aka June and finally Chan which is short for Chanwoo." I said to introduce them.
As I called out each member, they waved to show our parents who was who.

When we finished introducing each other, we all sat down and started up some conversations. After a while our waiter came up and asked us what we wanted to drink and when he was done writing them done, he left to prepare them for us. Most of the conversations we had were from our parents asking questions about each of the members to get to know them. A few minutes later the waiter came back with our drinks and placed them down onto the table. He then wrote down what each of us wanted to eat and told us that he would be back later. When he left again to check on other customers, we continued our conversations from before and made it last until the waiter came back with some appetizers for us to snack on until our main dishes were ready.

After awhile we finished off the different appetizers we had which was perfect timing since most of us were now getting our plates of food. Even though some of us got our food first, we decided to wait until everyone had theirs before we could start eating. Once everyone finally got their plates in front of them, all of us picked up either forks or chopsticks and began to dig into our meals. As we were eating, we kept our many different conversations alive by talking about whatever seemed interesting. Mel and I sat there enjoying the moment and smiled since we were both super happy that our parents were getting along with the guys so well and vise-versa.

About 30 minutes later, we all finished eating our delicious meals then the waiter brought over the bill. Since there was 12 people, the price of the bill was rather high so Bobby offered to help BI pay for it by splitting it.
"Thank you for dinner Hanbin and Bobby, it was fantastic!" Mel's mom commented with a smile.
"Yeah thank you!" The rest of us said.
After BI and Bobby paid the bill, all of us headed outside to say goodbye to the guys.
"Well it was nice meeting all of you! We hope to see you again soon!" My mom said.
Mel and I gave a quick hug to each of the members while our parents just waved. Bobby and BI then came up to Mel and I to do their normal routine when they say goodbye and goodnight. BI gave Mel a kiss on her forehead and she gave him a sweet smile in return
"Sweet dreams my HoneyBee!" He whispered into Mel's ear then went into the van.
Bobby kissed me on the cheek then on the back of my hand and whispered in my ear,
"Goodnight Baby Girl. I'll dream of you if you promise to dream of me!"
I gave him a slight nod then he turned around and piled into van.
"See you again soon!" BI said through the opened van window as they drove away.

The 4 of us then hopped into our vehicle and drove back to our place. When we arrived back at home, our parents went into their rooms to unpack their bags and suitcases then came and joined Mel and I in the living room to watch a movie. Once the movie was over a couple hours later, we all decided it was time to head to bed since our parents we tired from the long flight and it was getting late. We each said our good nights to one another then separated into our rooms for the night.
