We met three years ago at the Sydney airport. I was getting off of my 30 hour plane flight from Toronto Canada to Sydney Australia. My best friend Kenzie and I were so excited. We had been planning this since we were 9. Kenzie and I were ecstatic and talking non stop. Then we just collided with them. Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, and Michael Clifford. Ashton just stopped in his tracks, wrote his number down on a piece of paper and then said, "Call me some time." At that point me and Kenzie just started freaking out.
Me and Kenzie were childhood friends. We had the same personality, outgoing, load, and just fun. But, Kenzie was a little more outgoing then I was. We both loved Australia and had always planned on going there. We couldn't believe it had finally happened. After the plane flight we were so hungry we had to stop to eat. We found this little cafe in the airport and sat down to eat. What a coincidence, Ashton and his friends happened to be sitting in the booth beside us. Like wise I decided to say hi to them.
When he noticed that I had said hi to him he recognized me as the girl he gave his number to earlier.
He said "Hey our first meeting was a little awkward but I'm Ashton and my friends are Michael, Luke and Calum."
As Ashton introduced himself and his friends they all waved when he said their names.
"Hi well my name is Makenna and my red headed friend over here is Mackenzie" I said laughing at my friends face.
"Makenna I told you a million times that you call me Kenzie not Mackenzie. So you Aussies can call me Kenzie. Call me Mackenzie and I will snap your neck. Hee hee." Kenzie said giggling like a school girl.
"Well you have a pretty interesting friend, are-" He didn't get a chance to finish when he was interrupted by Kenzie.
"Yes I am quite interesting and don't you forget it. Oh and by the way I am Kenny's only friend." Kenzie said laughing at the horrified expression on my face.
" Well I guess we will be your new friends so you won't have that weird red head as your only friend." Luke says, grinning as Kenzie sticks her tongue out at him.
The whole time during that little episode I was laughing like a maniac.
"Hey, Luke, what were you going to say before I cut you off like 5 minutes ago? It's been bugging me a bit.." Kenzie smiled as she fumbled with her eyebrow piercing.
"Oh I was going to ask.. Are all your friends like that Makenna?" Luke said smiling his goofy grin.
"Yes all of my friends are as special as Kenzie. And you can call me Kenny." I answered to Luke's question playing with my nose piercing.
"Okay, Kenny. What are you guys doing while you are here are you coming to live or just visiting?" asked Calum.
"Yeah we came here to live, we're going to the University of Sydney and we're dorming there. What about you guys?" I answered to him.
"Oh hey we're going there, to what dorm number?" asked Michael ruffling his bright green hair.
"Not sure yet. Haven't even gone through registration. Count on us to remember things like that," Kenzie half-smiles as she snaps her fingers, pointing them into finger-guns.
The boys laughed, before Ashton spoke up.
"Do you ladies want anything? I was just about to go up and grap a drink of some sort." We shook our heads, not wanting him to spend money on us.
"It's fine. We're good." Kenzie smiles, waving her hand.
"We had stuff on the airplane. You don't have to get us anything."
"Don't be like that, I know the airplane food sucks." Ashton pouts.
"Not when you're 19," Kenzie sings as she stretches the 'teen' in nineteen.
Ashton laughs. "What do you guys want?"
"We really don't need anything-"
"Two chocolate milkshakes, for the ladies please." Ashton giggles as he runs up to the counter to order.
"Ashton please don't--"
"Too late." He smiles as he walks back to the booth.
"I really hate you and I've known you for about 20 minutes." I roll my eyes.
"You don't hate me. You love me." He smiles as he sits down and squishes Michael.
"Ooh do I smell a couple? KASHTON KASHTON KASHTON!!!! Kenzie yelled so loud I swear every one in the cafe and the airport looked at us.
"Shut up Kenzie.." I whispered trying to look as subtle as possible.
"Hey once we finish our food we should head back to my place for a bit to hang out get to know each other." Luke offered looking at me and Kenzie.
"Once again I feel that the stalker question has come up." Kenzie said giggling.
"Oh god Kenzie they're fine let's go it'll be fun we can unpack after." I said rolling my eyes.
"Okay but if we die it's on you Ken." Kenzie looked at me attempting to make a serious face.
"I'll go grab the food wand then we can go back to Luke's, I'll drive." Ashton said while standing up.
"I'll come help you carry the food." Calum offered standing up with Ashton.
"I CALL SHOTGUN!" I yelled loud enough for the whole country to hear.
