Chapter Three

Michael POV

After Kenzie left I dreamed that night about her. We were at the beach and she came up to me, she came really close. Then our noses brushed as she leaned in and we kissed, it was simply amazing. After that she whispered, "Michael, do you want to be my boyfriend?" Then I woke up. God I think I have a huge crush on her. I may love her.

I sigh, dragging myself out of bed. I guess the boys slept over, as I found all three of them sitting at the table with bowls of cereal.

"What's wrong, Michael?" Luke asks, his mouth full of food.

"Shut up, Luke." I snap, rubbing my eyes.

"Someone is feisty today." Ashton said laughing.

"Oh shu-!"

"Come on Mikey come eat your bowl of Happy Cereal." Calum said mockingly.

"You know what, I'm leaving. Wait I have to have someone drive me. Never mind. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" I yelled.

"Calm down Mikey we're just kidding." Ashton said trying to hide his smile.

"Aren't we going to the beach with Kenzie and Kenny? What time is it?" I asked them annoyed.

"Oh crap it's 11:30 we have to get going." Ashton said rushing out of his seat.

From that on everyone just rushed around the house like in the movies. We were laughing and finding this hilarious. Once we grabbed our towels and bathing suits Luke got his keys and we all rushed into the car. Ashton almost forgot his bandana. Oh how horrible, I thought sarcastically.

KENNY POV

I was super excited to go to the beach today. I woke up at nine and got my stuff ready right after I finished breakfast. Kenzie sleeps like crazy so she didn't wake up until 11:00. I had to pack her stuff. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I was wearing my blue and pink bikini . I loved that bikini so much!

"Kenzie wake up the boys we met are coming over to take us to the beach. You have like ten minutes to get ready." I said laughing and fixing my hair.

"Crap thanks for not waking me up earlier." Kenzie said sarcastically.

"Well get your lazy butt out of bed and get dressed. I already packed your bag so just get dressed." I laughed. I was sounding like her mother.

"Maybe I don't know what to wear," She mumbled.

"Well you should find something to wear." I said sarcastically. I'm on a roll with sarcasm this morning, I thought. She rolls her eyes before stumbling over to her closet. I was just laughing at her. Such a great friend.

There's a knock at the door; it's the boys.

"Hurry up Kenzie they're here." I said running to the door.

"Hello friends." I said laughing.

"Crap. Don't tell me it's the serial killers why'd you let them in? Ahhhhh!" I heard Kenzie yell in the background. I just burst out laughing and doubled over.

"Don't worry it's just us." Luke said giggling with me.

"Oh yay even better." Kenzie said her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Hurry up we want to get to the beach Kenzie. Why are you taking so long?" I said trying to hold on my smile. I knew I was bugging her.

"You know what I'm ready so let's go." Kenzie said already pushing me out of the way to get out the door.

"Well I guess you didn't eat your bowl of happy cereal this morning now did you Kenzie." Calum said laughing with the rest of the boys at the inside joke.

"What..?Oh whatever let's go!" Kenzie said running down the hall the rest of us following her.

"I don't think you understand, I've been playing beach volleyball for most of my life," Kenzie rolls her eyes, taking the ball from Michael.

"But I wanna serve!" He whined.

"No, when we win, then you can serve." She giggles, holding the volleyball out. She exhaled, swung her arm back and hit the ball over the net. Luke bumps it, I set the ball to Ashton, and he attempts to spike, but misses the ball and it hits his forehead.

"Ashton?" I say, walking over with concern.

"I'm okay!" He yells, sticking his arms in the air. He stands up and brushes the sand off of his shorts.

"Michael I swear to god put me down now." Kenzie shrieked as Michael picked her up and put her on his shoulders.

"Michael Clifford I said now!" He carried her towards the water and her face had a terrified expression written everywhere.

As he walked into the water, she kept screaming at him. Once he got about waist deep, he dropped her into the water. Everyone was crying they were laughing so hard. She resurfaced, and you saw the anger in her eyes.

"You better sleep with one eye open tonight, Clifford." She growled, shoving him slightly. He looked back at us, chuckling quietly.

"True love!" I yell, my hands cupped around my mouth. She rolls her eyes before slipping under the water, coming back up in a second.

Michael looks at Kenzie, his eyes flicking from her eyes to her lips to her nose. I laugh softly before I feel someone pick me up from behind an run towards the water.

"Who the hell is this --oh hey Ashton what's up-- NO I WILL EAT YOU PUT ME DOWN!" He giggled and proceeded to carry me into the water -- bridal style.

KENZIE POV

I push Michael down into the water and simply laugh. After he reserfaced, he put his hand on my shoulder, slowly leaning in closer. I couldn't resist so I leaned in a little closer too, then our lips brushed. As soon as they did Kenny comes running towards us and splashes water all over us.

"Hey what the heck Kenny?! Do you want me to come eat you?" I said laughing.

"Ahhhh run from the monster!" Kenny yelled while trying to run though water. She ended up running faster than the water could take her, so she fell into the water.

"Hahaha I'm coming!!" I yelled walking towards her. She screamed then went under the water and swam away. I dove under the water and brushed my hair back, letting it flutter behind me as I swam.

I eventually got to where it was shallow enough and I started running after Makenna.

"Hey guys we should probably go now cause its getting dark soooo yeah," Luke said looking at us, "We can head back to my place if you want."

"Okay just let us dry off and then we'll be there." Kenny replied. I roll my eyes, tucking a strand of loose hair behind my ear. It was getting quite cold outside, it sent a shiver down my spine. Wearing a strapless bikini in cold(er) weather isn't very smart. I quickly brush the towel over my skin and swimsuit, attempting to dry it. I throw my hair into a messy bun, not caring what it looks like. Michael grabs my hand, pulling my arm, as if telling me to go.

"Hold on, let me put shorts on at least." I smile, snatching my arm away. He folds his arms and waits patiently, as everyone else already got in the car. I slide on my high-waisted shorts and hold out my hand, asking for Michael's. We get in the car, and everyone stares at us.

"You two lovebirds took forever over there." Luke groans/laughs.

I felt my face go hot as I hide my head in between my legs. "Luke.. Don't.." I start.

"Someone just said I was lovebirds with a kinda pretty girl, awesome. I'll take it." Michael smirks.

"Kinda pretty, thanks." I roll my eyes, with a grin on my face.

"Love," Kenny gushes.

"Shut up."
