Later in the conference room Greyman’s robot arrived with a new tool.

“I call them chainless cuffs. They take all of that mysterious purple energy, and release it into the air as unusable heat energy,” Dr. Greyman said.

“Will it burn him?” Carol asked.

“It always releases in moderation, similar to water going through a dam. To prevent overheating the system can store energy until it is slowly emptied, as opposed to letting it out all at once.
These are the first ones I have created, but just to be extra safe I will try to get another type that might be even more effective.
The next one will include a shutdown feature that will drain most of his energy in TOTAL causing him to faint. This would only happen if he uses more of his power than the chainless cuffs can handle. Of course it's still just a concept,” Greyman’s robot gave Carol the cuffs. They were silver with a little red line going around the middle.

“Thank you for helping me test them Silver Spark. But don't activate that energy anymore. We don't know what it is or what it can do,” Dr. Greyman told her.

Carol nodded. Foxtail grumbled.

“You are lucky to have this chance. And so does he,” Foxtail glanced at KO still contained and placed on the table, “If anything happens, we will take him back… Alright let's get those cuffs on,” Foxtail vaulted on her crutches over to the door of the room. Dr. Greyman’s robot opened the kennel.

KO grabbed the kennel door, and shut it in a snap.

“Oh? Curious. It seems KO doesn't want to come out,” Dr. Greyman said.

“Aw come on KO. We aren't going to hurt you anymore,” Carol opened the door again. And put her head on the table to face him.

Slowly, he began to crawl out. Once his head peeked out he looked behind the top of the pet carrier. From that view he could see Foxtail at the door behind him. KO vanished. He reappeared behind Carol keeping an eye on Foxtail.

Alright time for the grab.

Carol turned to him and gently grabbed his arms so his arms were forced his sides. KO didn't like this, so he snapped at her, and pushed her away.

Time to be a little stern.

Carol grabbed his wrist while at the same time she forced his face to the table. In the moment she locked the first cuff on his left arm. She made sure to do it in a forceful yet painless way. For the second cuff she needed to apply it even quicker. He was starting to activate his aura. Carol leaned on top of him to keep his other arm from moving while she locked on the other cuff.

The deed was done. She stood up.

KO launched himself at Carol but he missed and fell. He didn't understand. He was supposed to fly. On the ground he popped up and tried hitting Carol with a hard swing to her calf. It didn't do anything. With both his fists he tried to hit her more, but to no avail. The members of POINT began to laugh at him.

KO roared and ran over to Greyman’s robot. With one hit KO was in pain. He shook his fist and then ran over to Foxtail. Foxtail stopped laughing and grabbed her crutches. She opened the door and vaulted away, making sure to close the door behind her. Carol and Dr. Greyman laughed harder.

KO didn't know what to do. Fighting was his skill. He was unable to fight before, but that was just because he was imprisoned. Now it seemed his captors had literally ripped a part of himself out. A very confusing concept to grasp for someone still getting used to grasping anything at all.

To cope, he just became angry and threw a tantrum.

“Yo, hey calm down KO,” Carol walked over to him. KO looked up at her and stopped his tantrum. He panted, still upset.
