With a blink of an eye, everything began to move again. The numbers on the flight board started to scroll once more. The bustling noise of the ground staff and incoming passengers are heard. Everything went back to normal as if time didn't stopped.
I swiftly turned to the big post where Tao was thrown earlier but to my surprise, he was not there. I turned my head again to check if Kyung Soo is still in the spot where I saw him seconds ago...but I saw no sign of him either.
Impossible! How did they move so fast?! Was I really dreaming? If I am then I really need professional help. But what if I'm not?
I need to confirm this myself.
I stood up immediately and ran towards the big post. When I got there, I examined the metal structure and terrified with what I discovered. There at the center of the post is a dent. With trembling hands, I ran my hand through it to really make sure I am.not halluciating.
So, it's real then. Everything that happened a while ago was real! What is happening?! Why is this happening?!
My knees trembled. My mind baffled.
What is happening?!
I don't know how I proceeded with my travel. Like the plane I was riding, my head was up in the clouds...confused with the series of events that inexplicably happened at the airport.

" Soooo glad you're back here in Korea!" Hye Ri screamed excitedly while she drove.
I tried to act normal around her because she might get freaked out when I tell her that some weirdo made the time stop. To top that, it seemed like Kyung Soo knows that weirdo.
"Do you want to eat first or do you want me to drop you in the hotel first?"she asked.
"I want to eat but I think jet lag is catching up to me early. Can you drop me off the hotel? We can have our first 'coming back' meal first thing tomorrow." I said.
"Okay!" She flashed an apologetic smile. "So sorry you can't move in your apartment yet. The new landlord wanted to do a few renovations to the vacant rooms including yours. You sure you don't want to stay at my place. We're the same building you know?"
"That's ok. My schedule might be erratic and I don't want to wake you up in the middle of the night." I handed her a piece of paper with the name of the hotel. She entered the address in the car's GPS and began following the instructions of the machine towards our destination. While on the road, Hye Ri continued to share a lot of stories during the time I was in Canada. I tried my best to listen to every word but my eyes are shutting down all by itself. Too tired with the flight...and the shock.
"...and then Kyung Soo was never seen."
My eyes shot back up with the mention of his name.
"Kyung Soo? Never seen? What?!" I exclaimed.
Hye Ri shot me a surprised look and turned back to driving. "I guess there is no good time to say this. I thought you were too tired to listen and so I just blurted it out. Sorry."
"What happened to him?" I pushed further.
"Well...he went to Seoul to study but after a few months,we heard that he voluntary enlisted for the army. My older brother enlisted the same year but he didn't have a chance to see more of Kyung Soo there. "
"Maybe he delayed his enlistment. That's why he wasn't there." I said.
She shook her head. "Nope. He did enlist. He was there. From what my brother heard from platoon leaders, he was summoned by the commandant. They believed he was given a secret mission because after that night he went missing. He was never seen again. " she sighed heavily.
"No." I muttered as I resigned to my seat again. Trying to make sense out if things. I felt Hye Ri's squezzing my hand. "I know he held a big space in your heart si this might come to a shock to you. I'm sorry but he could be dead."
I turned to her."He's not!"
Hye Ri squeezed my hand tighter. "Jin Ae...it's ok. We must learn to accept..."
"NO!" I cut her off. "HE'S ALIVE!"
Hye Ri suddenly stepped on the brakes that I almost hit the headboard.
"What?!" She exclaimed.
I look to her intently to show her I am telling the truth. "Kyung Soo is alive. I saw him!"
"Kyung Soo is alive!"
Hye Ri was shocked to hear the words I just said. "Are you sure it's him?!"
"I'm sure! 100%! I was at the airport. I saw him a few seconds then he was gone."
"Wait...he was GONE?! Like in a few seconds?" she asked skeptically.
"Yes! And..." What I caught in my peripheral stopped me from what I was about to say. Right across the street....and I can't believe my eyes...is Kyung Soo again. He was looking intently at us. When he was sure I acknowledged his presence, he shook his head.
Is he asking me not to tell?! Should I not tell.
"AND?!" I heard Hye Ri say.
"Hye Ri...I..."
"Yes?! What happeneed?!"
I looked at Hye Ri again. "I...I think I was just dreaming then." I lied. "Sorry, the jet lag must've gotten to me."
Hye Ri ran her palm all over my face. "Aiyoo! This girl!" She said in an irritated tone. "Don't scare me off like that." She grabbed the steering wheel again and started to drive.
I should've told her about Kyung Soo and the unbelievable set of events but there seemed to be a force that stopped me. I don't know what but it's a powerful one--one, I can not object.
Hye Ri's car stopped at the hotel and we both went down to get my things. A hotel staff approached us to assist with my luggage.
"Thanks Hye Ri for droping me off." I gave her a tight hug to show my gratitude.
When she released her arms around me, she gave me a bright smile. "Don't worry about it. I'll pick you up in the afternoon tomorrow. I know you're not familiar with the surroundings yet."
I nodded. "You go ahead. I know you're boyfriend is waiting for you."
Before she went back to her car, she gave me a worried look and patted my arm. "Jin Ae. You rest well ok? Don't think about what I said about Kyung Soo. Alright?"
My throat tightened just by hearing his name but I nodded just to put my bestfriend at ease.
"Okay," was the only thing I was able to mutter.
Hye Ri gave me another hug before getting in her car. I exhaled and proceeded to the lobby to check in. At long last, I can take a break from all the weirdness that has been happening to me since I started my flight back to Korea. But somehow, I have this very strong and strange feeling that more things are going to happen. There must be a reason why all of this is happening and I'm pretty sure I'll be seeing Kyung Soo again. When?I don't know. Why? I don't know.
