Chapter Seven: The Walk
Hiccup's P.O.V.
I pace back and forth and back and forth. My metal leg clanks and scratches on the wooden floor. Toothless just mocks me, and laughs, knowing my annoyance of the loss.
That face. That person.
I just can't get her out of my head!
Why does Elsa have to be so beautiful? Why does she have to be so perfect? I mean, true that, she is a queen. Queens have to be perfect in everyway.
Nah, but she's a different perfect. She's got the freedom in which most queens lack. Her hair is free. Her makeup (which I don't think she needs) is wild and inappropriate for royalty. Her dress has freedom in that slit in which exposed her beautiful leg...snap out of it, you fool!
Does it make sense to say that even her eyes have freedom in them? They have a rebellion inside that I can't understand. The color of them argue with a dull blue. Full is just not her style. She's ecstatic. Her hair is ecstatically platinum blonde. Her eyes and dress are ecstatically blue. Her skin is ecstatically smooth, pale, and soft...ugh, stop!
I pace more, and faster. My eyes can't see the floor. Instead, they see her eyes. Her eyes that look alluringly into mine. They keep getting closer. And closer. And closer.
I slam my door and start to stomp down the staircase. It may be midnight, but I'm taking a walk.
Next to the fireplace, Mother sits in a large chair. She looks up at me.
"And what do you think you are doing, this late at night?" she asks while raising an eyebrow.
"Well good morning to you too. I'm going to take a walk," I fake a smile, and she gives me a real one.
"Be safe."
"Bye, Mom."
Toothless shuffles down the stairs with me, but then I drag him back to my room.
"Sorry buddy, but I want to walk alone. I'll see you in an hour or two," I say sincerely. He pouts, and collapses on the floor all grumpy like. I snicker, and leave the house.
I don't know exactly where I'm going though. I just let my feet do the work. Well...my foot and metal.
I close my eyes and feel the cold breeze. I bet it's from Elsa's castle.
Maybe I should see her? No, she's probably asleep right now. I can see her tomorrow.
Then, as if a brick hit me in the stomach, I realized reality. She's going to leave in two days.
How will I see her? Will I see her? Yes I will. I will ride with Toothless to the end of the world just to see Elsa everyday. I don't care how perilous it could be.
I hear a twig snap behind me, and I quickly turn around. There was nothing. Hmm.
I turned around and about took another step, but I stopped just in time.
There's a large ditch below me. Good going foot and metal. What, are you trying to kill me now?
I hear another twig snap, but this time it's to my left. I quickly turn, and my body collides with something hard. My eyes catch a flash of blue glitter, blonde, and my ears catch a horrific scream of pain. It was high pitched. Someone must've fallen into the ditch.
