White fur dulled with each drop of rain that fell upon it, but not making it any less beautiful. It would dry quick, specially with it now shielded by the foliage of the trees above. Your feet touched the somewhat muddied ground, leaving large paw prints behind you. You could hear everything, like the world was amplified a hundred times more than normal. It wasn't anything less than amazing. You could even hear the pack's thoughts. A little less perfect, but you had a direct line to them without them hearing you and it was only when they were wolves, so it wasn't all that bad. You made sure to be close enough to them so that you could watch over and do what you were meant to do, but not close enough that any of them could see you. You did have plans to let Sam finally see you today though. You knew it was driving him crazy being the only Alpha who hadn't seen the "Legendary White Wolf". You almost huffed at the title. You were far from legendary, nor was anything you did. While the perks of the wolfy powers were great and all- Being this was hard and lonesome. You would never be able to join or have a pack like them. You would never be able to have that connection. You were just the background character, who made sure none of them did anything too stupid or died. Not that they ever did, so you really just watched them.. admired what they had from afar. It was sad really.

When the pack regrouped together you lingered behind, till the right moment. Just as Jacob had described you were just like a ghost; They would only see or hear you if you wanted them to. You stayed far away and dulled your eyes so that they wouldn't be able to make any connections to you considering your eyes were far from normal and would make it easy for them to put two and two together. Snap. The pack whipped their heads toward you, almost seeming like they were ready to attack the sudden intruder. Sam was the first to realize what was happening, not much of a surprise there. You stand tall, making sure to make yourself look a mystical and enchanting as possible. It felt stupid. Your eyes locked with Sam and you gave him a slight nod before walking off. Your eyes wandering towards Jacob before you were completely out of sight. Their patrol was almost over and you had to get out of there fast before any of them got the bright idea to try to follow you. You could hear all of them talking about what happened, all except Jacob... he was the only silent voice. You didn't know at this point whether it was a good or bad thing, you only knew that you had given Sam's pack a bit of hope which felt good.

The pack was still on patrol when you met Emily, you had heard of her family and see her around the reservation once or twice. You get to know just about everyone when you hang out there a lot, however you had never really spoken to her before now. "You're Iris, right? Jacob's Friend" The sudden unfamiliar voice caught you off guard and pulled your gaze away from the food you were examining. When you looked towards the female, you realized you recognized her face... except there was a big scar that you did not remember seeing on this girl years ago. "Uh yea? and you are... Emily Young" Out of all the things you were told about the wolves, this was not one of them... which could only mean it was recent. You could smell Sam's scent all over her, so you quickly put the two together. "How do you know me?" You ask, almost sure she didn't remember you from before you left, like you said, the two of you had never spoken before. "Oh, Jacob talks about you a lot and your eyes are unmistakable, even with only a description" You smile and nod, she was right- If anyone knew or remembered anything about you, it was your strange multicolored eyes. Wait? Jacob talked about you? You feel your cheeks heat up slightly, but you tried to stay collected. Your eyes drifted towards her basket that was almost completely filled

"Having a feast?" You joked, making her smile

"Sort of" she chuckled "The boys usually come over to eat after-" She stopped herself for a moment, but you just smiled
