I woke up to be unaware of where I currently was. My eyes seemed to only open half way because of my dried tears. I got to my feet as to see a very beautiful field with trees everywhere. I turned a 360 and took in where I was. Where was Mrs. Daylock? I could see in the distance smoke rising and I could here voices, so I made my way over. I snuck out from a tree to see a group of gathered people that all turned their heads to me. No one said a word until a familiar face came from the middle of the group. Was it.. Mrs Daylock? It couldn't be. Her hair was down, long and messy when everyday at school it was up in a tight bun with not a single hair misplaced. She was wearing baggy pants and a tank top that was black. Where were her perfectly fitting pencil skirts and blouses?

"paisley, it's okay. Your safe."

"Mrs. Daylock?" I couldn't NOT question it was her, she looked so different.

"It's Avalon, actually."

This was so weird to me. I gave her a very confused look.

"So, where are we?" I ask.

"This is a place where we're not different. This is a place where we're safe. Look around, all of these people have the same abilities as you. They've gone through the same hardships as you, some even worse."

I all of the sudden remembered where we came from and what happened as she was pulling me away. I got angry, my heart started pumping heavily and my forehead ran hot.

"Why did you do that?! WHY did you leave all of those INNOCENT people behind to be hurt?! My friends were getting beaten up, and you just left? And my mom... MY MOM!!"

My voice was louder than I expected.

"Listen, LISTEN!

I didn't want to listen to her, not to mention the 20 or 30 people surrounding us tuning in on our conversation. I started to walk away and she didn't stop me. I didn't look back. I just kept walking until I found a quiet setting with a rock I could sit on and a small area of water. I was more scared and curious than mad, I just needed to sit for a while. I heard crunching behind the bushes that lay ahead of me and it startled me until an innocent face popped out. A girl about the same height as me came out from the bushes.

"Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to scare you! I think we share the same thinking space." The edge of her lip curled up into a smile.

"Oh no your fine, I'm sorry I'll leave."

"No, please stay!" She motioned me to sit.

It was silent for a few moments until she turned to me.

"So, your dreamer as we'll I take it huh?"

"Sadly." I responded sounding annoyed with the answer.

"I'm Tammi."

"I'm paisley." I smiled but showed no teeth.

Tammi was very pretty. Her skin was dark, even darker than Drews. And she had hair that was wavy to her shoulders. I guess it was good I was meeting new people, like me.

"We'll I better go find Avalon, nice meeting you." I wave as I walk away.

I go back to the group and find Avalon.

"Can we talk?" I ask.

Without saying a word she motions me to follow her and she takes me to a nicely built building.

"Paisley, I brought you here because the dream catchers were trying to get you. I don't know what happened to your classmates, but their not important, just you are. This place is where all of us dreamers come together to keep each other safe. We hide from them. Your going to have to learn to be on your own, because soon, that's how it's going to be."

"What do you mean-

"We'll talk about it later. But right now, you need to get out there and meet those people, their like you, you'll make new friends, and soon, they'll be your family."

There came a knock from the door and Avalon went to open it. She turned the knob to see a tall muscular man. Without a moment in between they both grabbed each other and kissed each other with such passion. She wrapped her arms around his neck and started to cry. They kissed once more. Then the man dropped to his knees and softly touched her stomach. It made sense. He was Avalon's husband. He must have had to stay here while she had to live a normal life so no one knew her real story, about being a dreamer. It had to have been at least a year since they saw each other, Avalon hadn't missed a day of teaching school. Avalon, with tears in her eyes, brought the man over by his hand.

"This is my husband, Jax." I had never seen her smile so big.

"Welcome,", he said,"I hope you'll enjoy it here."

"Oh, she will." Said Avalon with a wink.

I didn't know what that was about.

It was obvious to me that Jax was the head of this organization, he announced everything and Avalon was like royalty.

Jax and Avalon were taking me around, introducing me to everyone when I saw something I recognized out of the corner of my eye.

Was it? No. Wait. It was.

Right as I turned, our eyes met at the same time. It was Lance. I screamed and I knew everyone was watching but we both ran to each other and I jumped in his arms, literally. My legs warped around him and I lost a few tears. We didn't even say anything, we just stood there, hugging, hugging, hugging, not even time for a kiss, for we didn't want to let go of each other for a split second.
