There was only one thing that I knew for sure. I was a the youngest sibling of the Kuran family. Everything else was confusing. Kaname has been telling me that Yuuki is coming back to us soon, but each day he tells me this another day passes that she isn't with us. I miss my older sister. I see her at school, but knowing that she doesn't remember anything about me, her only knowing me as Kaname's little sister. She doesn't even know that Kaname is her older brother. It makes me sad knowing that my sister is in the dark about her own life.
"Kaname, Kaname!" I called running into his room. "We have to get up and go to school." He groaned rolling over. He's probably dreaming about Yuuki again. What a hopeless romantic. I leaned in close to his ear, making sure that I would have the effect that I wanted on him and whispered, "You know, if you get up you can see Yuuki again."
I was about to get up to get Ichijo to wake him up when he grabbed my arm. "I'm awake. No need to get Ichijo." I nodded and left leaving him to get ready, but not before hearing something from Kaname, "I just hope that Kiryu isn't trying to steal away my Yuuki today." Zero. He's that vampire hunter, who was turned into a vampire when he was little. He can't steal Yuuki away from Kaname because that would mean he's stealing Yuuki away from me too. That's not good.
I was so lost in my thought that I didn't see Aidou in front of me and so, I ran right smack into him. I fell to the ground in my butt, groaning in pain. "Why don't you watch where you're going." There was a childish laugh above me, which I recognized immediately. My cheeks flushed at the sound of his laugh and I tried my hardest to hold it back my blushed, but no matter how much I tried, it just kept coming back. "Aidou, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you." Aidou smiled, holding out his hand which I shyly took.
"It was all my fault. I should have watched where I was walking." I blushed at his kindness and turned away hoping that he didn't see it, but I was wrong. "Hey, you don't need to hide your blush from me. We both know how we feel about each other." He was right. I slowly turned my head to him showing him my blushing face. He lifted his hand rest it on my cheek, rubbing his thumb across it.
He was speaking the truth. When Kaname had first brought me here, Aidou was the one he put in charge of me. I was still young back then. Not young as in age, but young as in maturity. Kaname thought that Aidou would be the best one to take care of me since he can be extremely serious when needed and Aidou is a well trusted friend. What Kaname didn't expect was that we would Aidou was fall in love with me and me to him. "I'm just not used to it yet. I'm worried that Kaname will disapprove and I will never be able to see you again."
Aidou smiled, taking my hands in his. "Don't worry. Everything with be alright. I'm going to talk to your brother tonight." Even with his words, I still felt uneasy. Kaname was a little over protective of me. "He loves you. I'm sure he'll let us be." I smiled and hugged Aidou. He always knows how to make my doubts seam like nothing.
We started to hear Ichijo calling everyone down stairs to go to our classes and groaned. "I don't want to go to school today, but if I do, I get to see Yuuki, but you'll be flirting with all the humans. But then again, I'll see Yuuki." Aidou put his fingers on my lips to shut me up and laughed at the same time.
"I'm sorry I flirt with the humans, but you know I have to be entertained. I wouldn't dare trade you for any human or vampire for that matter." I blushed, tucking my hair behind my ear. I was blushing even harder now. His words always struck me to the heart. "You are too perfect." Aidou started to lean in to kiss me but Ichijo came running down the halls, so we spread to opposite sides of the hall.
He came up to us breathing heavily. Ichijo even had to put his hands on his knees to catch his breath. "I've been looking all over for you two. Kaname was starting to grow inpatient, so I offered to look for you but you two are hard to find." Once he mentioned that Kaname was wondering, I rushed to his side. Leaving the two boys to stare after me from my sudden departure.
I reached the gates just before Ichijo and Aidou arrived. "I'm sorry I'm late brother. I got caught up in something." Kaname looked at me with questions, but kept them to himself knowing that he can trust me not to do anything stupid.
The gates opened just as Aidou reached the front which signified the beginning of my day.
