Thoughts

The only thing that I could think about right now was what Zero did to Yuuki. I wasn't one to be violent, but he took Yuuki's blood. That's something that I can't let slide. The only reason that I'm even thinking this way is probably because Kaname thinks this way. That got me thinking .He seems like he cares more about Yuuki then he does me. Maybe he doesn't even care for me. That would explain why he hardly ever speaks to me unless I speak to him. "Are you okay?" Aidou asked causing me to be jolted out of my thoughts. I shook my head leaning it against Aidou's shoulder. He wrapped his arm around me in return. "If you ever want to talk about it, just know that I'm here." I nodded my head, looking at the table in front of us. We both decided that it would be best that I didn’t go to class today. One reason was because I was weak. I was refusing to drink from the blood tablets. I could hardly stay awake. Another reason was because of what happened to Yuuki. I would probably pounce at Zero if I had the chance.

“You know you have to drink sooner or later.” I ignored him, still staring at the cup. The red liquid just resting in the cup, taunting me to give in and drink. That wasn’t going to happen. “Kasumi, please drink. If not for yourself, then do it for me.” I looked back up at him, my eyes glowing red. Aidou picked up the cup, putting it to my lips. I could smell it. The red liquid scent filling my nose. It smelt so good, yet it tasted so horrible. I opened my mouth, closing my eyes as Aidou tipped the cup over, the liquid filling my mouth. I swallowed quickly, not wanting this taste to linger in my mouth for long. “See, wasn’t that easy?” He put the cup down, wrapping his arms around me once again.

“Please don’t ever make me do that again.” Aidou frowned, running his hands through my hair. As much as he doesn’t want to force me to drink the imitation blood, he knew that he had to. We sat there for awhile, neither one of us speaking. I started dozing off, my breathing becoming slower. Soon my eyelids became heavy and I was drifting off into a sleep filled with nightmares.

~No One’s POV~

Aidou smiled, staring at the girl sleeping in his arms. He was debating whether or not he should take her up to her room. He was afraid that he would wake her up. He was finally able to convince the girl to drink the red liquid, but convincing her again would be difficult. Aidou was worried about the girl in his arms. She was becoming weak because she refused to take the blood tablets. Her brother Kaname only took notice of it when she collapsed at the door to the dorms. Aidou knew that she was becoming weak because of it, way before her brother did. Aidou was loyal to Kaname yes, but it was becoming clear to him that Kaname wasn’t paying any attention to his sister and paying more attention to the human girl, Yuuki. Aidou would remain loyal, but he was going to try to get Kaname to care for his sister.

“Did she drink it?” Aidou turned to see Kain standing in the doorway, the moon shining on his tall frame. Aidou nodded looking back at the sleeping girl in his arms. “I’ve been worried about her. When she collapsed like that...” He trailed off, moving farther into the room and sitting in the chair opposite his cousin and the girl. He then noticed the empty cup, with only a few drops of the red liquid in it. “You finally got her to drink it.”

Aidou smiled, continuing to run his fingers through her brown hair. “We were sitting here for a couple hours before I finally convinced her. She fell asleep soon after that.” Kain nodded, watching his cousin stare down at the one he loved. He was happy for his cousin for finding someone to love him, but he was worried about what would happen if she continued to refuse to take the blood tablets. Aidou would be heartbroken if she went to sleep and never woke up because of it. She wouldn’t die, she would just be sleeping. Someone would have to feed her blood to wake her up. Knowing Kaname, he wouldn’t let that happen. To Kain, Kaname doesn’t seem like he even cared for his younger sister. He started to wonder if Kasumi was doing this just to get Kaname’s attention; to see if he really cared for her. She would get her answer soon enough.
