Danika's POV:
No. It can't be him. I can't have LIAM as my mate. Oh please moon goddess no. This was the boy who I used to play with- until he told me he was embarrassed by me and that he never wanted to see me again. Jackass. Could I reject him? Nicole, my wolf, immediately started yowling at me. 'You CAN'T reject him! I need him! Accept him! He's our MATE' She loves to give me a headache. So no, apparently I couldn't reject him. I mentally sigh, and look down. What happens now? Most werewolves who had just found their mates started making out the second they saw each other, because of the mate pull. I felt the pull, tugging my body closer to his every five seconds. Looking back up, I wondered what Liam was thinking. I was about to ask when a pair of lips slammed into mine. Sparks tingled through my spine as incredible amounts of heat shot through my lips as they moved in sync with his. My arms snaked up to his hair of their own accord. I felt as though I was standing a pit of glory fire, wrapping around my very soul. All that was in the world was him. I couldn't think of anything else. I felt two large hands clasp firmly onto my hips. My feet stumbled along, tripping over themselves, until my back slammed into a wall, shocking me. With a gasp, I pulled away. Simone and Sarah were staring at me open-mouthed, looking from me to Liam to me to Liam to me to Liam to me to Liam. Liam, on the other hand, looked confused, and leaned in to me again. Again, I stopped him.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
Dodging the question, I questioned him. "Do you remember me?" His expression was all the answer I needed. Obviously, he didn't. That stupid thing didn't even remember the years of late movie nights, or splashing in the pond, or even spending every holiday together baking cupcakes from our own secret recipe. "Well, here's a hint. My name is Danika. Remember me now?" My tone grew colder and I walked away, with some difficulty. Luckily, the mate pull wasn't that strong yet- he hadn't bitten me and we haven't fully mated yet, thank god. I didn't look back at Liam, not even when I was pulled by my forearm into the crowd of people swirling on the dance floor. Not even when a boy who's face I didn't see, pulled me in and kissed me.
