Alec's POV:
Hunter reaches over and kisses me lightly on the mouth, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Hey babe. You alright?" He asks in a caring voice that makes me forget all about the incident I'd walked in on less then a week before.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just busy with school work." I say and give him a peck on the cheek. "Speaking of which I have to get going or I'll be late for class."
"Who would have thought that someone like you, would be such a nerd." Hunter teases lightly and I raise one of my eyebrows at him.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I say in mock defense.
"No it's just with your looks I would have thought you'd be on the football field with me, not sitting around in the room with your head in a book." He whines loudly. "I mean you don't even go to parties. This is college, parties are a necessity!" He continues to wine and I roll my eyes at him.
"We're only in the first semester." I say slowly. It's not that I hated going to parties I just... Okay who am I kidding. I hated going to them. They were obnoxious, and loud, and honestly just another excuse to hook up with random strangers. Like STD much?
"Come on don't be like that. Parties are fun. Speaking of which. There's one this Friday. You should come." He tells me in a bored voice.
"Parties aren't really my thing. I don't think I'll go." I say with a shrug.
"Oh come on. You never do anything fun." He wines and I shoot him an innocent smile.
"That's not true I do plenty of fun things." I shoot back in a playful tone.
"Really? Well go on then, prove it." He challenges me with a sparkle in his eyes.
"Well for starters. I read, I write on occasion, I have a large following online, and I've joined in on games of truth or dare." I say matter-a-factually.
"Oh really?" He says with a raised eyebrow. "Was it at least strip truth or dare?"
"What the hell is strip truth or dare? Is that even a real thing?" I ask in astonishment.
"My point exactly. You don't even know what strip truth or dare is. You have been failing life." He says with an eye roll and I cross my arms and frown at him. Who needs to know about a dumb sounding game like that anyway?
"Well now, as much as I would like to sit here and argue with you, I have to go to class." I say as I stick my tongue out at him and turn to leave.
"Fine, but just consider it okay?" He says and I wave my hand dismissively at him before walking out the door.
Time skip 10 minutes before class starts
I've always liked my classes, or at least most of my classes, but that was before I realized exactly who I had been sharing my classes with and I don't mean like, oh I shared a few classes here and there, no, I mean I shared every fucking class with this dipstick. How is that even possible? I wonder as I glare at the person in question, who by some horrid twist of fate is sitting next to me.
"Well hello there Alec." He says cheerfully and I grind my teeth in irritation. Why can't this asshole just leave me alone?
"Hello, Monroe." I say, drawing his name out through clenched teeth.
"Aw just Monroe? Not Zachy-poo or love of my life? But we were getting along just fine yesterday." He says with a pout and it takes everything in me not to punch him in his pretty boy face.
