CHAP 2: "Did i do it?"

Lousiana State Penitentiary
Interrogation Room 2

"PLEASE LET ME MAKE A CALL!" I screamed as I pounded on the cold metal door. I didn't care that I was now standing in a prison, under suspicions. All I cared about was finding out if Tori was okay. No answer from the guards.

Finally, someone came into the room. A tall, built Caucasian man stood, almost towering me at my five feet 10 inches. He motioned me to sit and I obliged.

"My name is Detective Simon Rebel." He said.

He inquired about my name and I told him it was Reed Archibald.

"Before you ask me anything, please let me make a call to a friend. I need to know that she is okay." I pleaded.

"Is the person you're referring to, a Miss Tori Allen?" He questioned. My heart froze, my eyes burning in their sockets and a lump rose in my throat. My entire body began to twitch and I just wanted to get out of there and find her, safe. The intense fear fires through me as I murmured the words "Yes"

"She's fine in the physical sense, however she's part of the reason, you're in here right now. Her husband Dan was found dead last night at the City Gate Motel and coincidentally you were there, with blood on your hands, literally.

I could not even begin to comprehend what I was being told. I was being held on SUSPICION of MURDER. Worst yet, murder of someone I despised more than the Capulets hated the Montagues. There was no way, this was going to work out in my favour, but I couldn't help but think,

Did I do it?

"The entire night before was mostly a blur", I relayed to the detective. "I only got pieces of memories but never the entire thing. The last thing I recalled was Dan and Tori arguing and me intervening but I can't seem to remember what happened after went to bed."

"Okay Mr. Archibald. I need you to tell me how did the night begin, every detail until the last moment you can remember." The detective said.
