Jess and Oscar (Dark Ages)

Chapter 3

*POV OSCAR*

I finally felt safe and accepted here,
and after that incident me and Jess spent mostly all of our time together like we were spiritually bonded now.

The McDaniel's were caretakers for young mutants such as myself, they housed, fed, and trained us daily.
At first I told them,

"You guys just got the idea from Charles Xavier", but they just laughed and said "More like Charles got the idea from us".

We trained for the next six years and grew more control with our abilities, bonds were made, and all was well,
but nobody was expecting what happened next...

"Heads up!!!" Yelled Jess with a giggle as she launched a fire ball at me,
I yelped and opened a portal, Jess laughed as she jumped out of the way of the portal behind her as the multi colored ball of flames hit the ground.

"That was mighty fine milady" I said taking a bow,

"Aw shucks" said Jess in a country voice doing her curtsy

We laughed and began to walk back to the Shack Mansion.

We entered the house and I was embraced by Olympia,

"Ozzy!!!" Screamed Olympia as she picked me up and swung me around,

"It's Oscar!!" I wheezed as she squeezed me tightly and placed me back down on the floor

"How was training guys?" Asked Olympia as we all began to walk down the corridor,

"I kinda got the hang of my portals, still working on the directory and angels but it's coming along rather quickly." I stated

"What about you Jess?" Asked Olympia as she leaned ford a little looking across me to Jess

"Oh,Fire,Fire,Fire oh and I forgot more Fire that same damn thing everyday" Jess stated folding her arms

Alex appears in front of us from thin air,

"Mr & Mrs McDaniel wish to meet with all of us in the hidden garden"
said Alex signaling for us to follow her

We made our way across the dandelion covered field, the fresh breeze blowing across my face with every step.

"I am so proud of you all!" Roared Mr. McDaniel
"For these past six years you all have put nothing but hard work and dedication into your training and I could not ask for anything better than you kids" said Mr. McDaniel with a smile

"And for all your hard work we are allowing you to take the rest of the week off" said Mrs. McDaniel sipping her smoothie

We jumped for joy as this meant that we could leave the house at anytime we wanted, there was a drive in movie about two miles away from the Shack Mansion that was our destination for the night.

We threw on our regular clothes and headed for the old beat up Cadillac waving goodbye to our parents,

We arrived at the movie and settled in.

10:09pm

"Oh! I'm in danger! I need a big strong man to save little ole me!"
Said Alex mockingly raising her popcorn to her head,
