*POV OSCAR*
*Grace enters the dining room where Jess and Oscar are eating breakfast*
"All right, I think it's about time we tell the truth!" Grace demanded
Jess and I locked eyes as we came to a halt,
"What uh? What do you mean?"
I asked sitting back in my chair pretending to be puzzled"You know exactly what I mean!" Said Grace resting her shoulder on the threshold
Jess sat motionlessly in the same position
*Grace opens a back to school flyer and waves it side to side with a smile*
"I think you should finish school!" Said Grace with excitement
We exhaled as Jess grabbed the flyer from her
"Sun Valley Prep!?" Said Jess with a eyebrow raise
"Yeah I don't think so" I said continuing my breakfast
"And why not? I thought you guys wanted to finish your senior year?" Said Grace entering the fridge
"It's mutant friendly, and it's full of young mutant's like yourselves with many different abilities, plus they have in-school training" said Grace opening a bottle of water
"Aren't we supposed to be in hiding?" Asked Jess
"Rules were meant to be broken right?" Said Grace
"Even if we did, Alex would never agree to this it's way to risky and we still haven't gotten this beacon thing under control" I said
"As long as you two don't touch hands while you are feeling intense emotions the beacon will not take form, like when you blasted a beacon 1000 feet into the sky destroying the middle of Alex's house" Said Grace
"Ok we said we're sorry" said Jess folding her arms
"Summer's over in 1 month you guys should make a decision" said Grace walking away
*Jess wiped her mouth and followed after Grace*
*POV JESS*
"Hey can I ask you something?" I asked walking beside her down the narrow hall
"Of course" said Grace continuing looking down at her phone
"Where exactly do you report from, like who hired you?" I asked stopping
Grace completely stopped as she shut her phone off
"Uh! Ruth hired me why would you ask such a dumb question!" Said Grace frantically
Before I could get another word out she brushed past me back down the hall and out the front door.
"What's the deal with her?" Asked Oscar stuffing his face with egg's
"She's hiding something, and I'm gonna find out what..."
