*story based on show/game Pokemon. The story would be quite different, but it will borrow some elements from the shows/games.
Ash and Mr. Joban were walking on their way back to Pallet Town. "Wow! I didn't know you were such a great trainer, Mr. Joban!" exclaimed Ash reacting to the hooded man's stories. "Anyways, I heard you had trouble getting your first Pokemon," said Mr. Joban. The comment dropped the mood by a lot. Ash didn't reply and he had his head to the ground.
"No need to be upset, Ash. I will give your starter Pokemon if you join my gang," said Mr. Joban.
"Really? Thanks, Mr. Joban but first, can I learn more about your gang?" asked Ash.
"My gang is called Team Rocket. We steal Pokemon and valuable things from other people. Don't worry though, I can assure you your starter Pokemon is not stolen. All you have to do to join is say "Hail Team Rocket"," said Mr. Joban replying to Ash. "Hail Team Rocket," answered Ash with a smirk. He didn't care where his starter Pokemon came from. It didn't matter how much he would have to pay for one. All that mattered was that he got one.
"Here, have your Starter Pokemon," said Mr. Joban giving Ash a Pokeball. "Thanks!" replied Ash before releasing his new Pokemon. "Bagon!" "You and I are going to be best friends now, Bagon!" said Ash with excitement.
"Bagon knows Rage, Bite, Ember, and Leer," said Mr. Joban informing Ash. "Thanks so much, Mr. Joban," said Ash cheerfully. "Now, that you have your first Pokemon, I believe you should start your journey now," said Mr. Joban. "In fact, I'll go with you to the first cities." "Okay!"
"How come you need me in Team Rocket anyway? Mr. Joban" asked Ash."Well, you see I need some agents that are in the Pokemon League. I see the spark in your eyes. Your determination. Your heart. Your soul. All of them in Pokemon battling. I know when someone is gifted with battling." replied Mr. Joban.
"Really? You see all that in my eyes!" exclaimed Ash. "Come now. Don't dally and hurry for Route 1" said Mr. Joban before walking off. Ash quickly returned Bagon and ran to catch up. The pair made their way toward Route 1.
Trees were around them like sentries. Mr. Joban fast walked, however, Ash ambled to take in the grace of the trees. This made Ash jog to catch sometimes when he realized he was way far behind Mr. Joban. Suddenly, ahead of the pair were some trees blocking the pathway.
Mr. Joban and Ash squeezed pass the trees and got to the next part of the road. There was a massive grass patch dancing. Of course, being as adventurous as Ash is, he slowly made his way to the patch. As he was walking in the untamed grass, a flying creature flies directly at him. Ash dodged out of the way and shouted: "Is that a Spearow?". Ash sends out a Pokeball.
"Go, Bagon! Use Ember!" shouted Ash. Spearow quickly dodges the fire attack only to be hit with a Bite. Spearow flew away into the trees. "Did you see that Mr. Joban?" asked Ash only to see him running away. Ash wondered why. Suddenly a bunch of angry cries answered his question for him.
"Return Bagon!" said Ash before sprinting off into the distance. After a few minutes of sprinting and running, Ash caught up to Mr. Joban. "Why didn't you tell me?" asked Ash panting. "To teach you a lesson," replied Mr. Joban panting. "See that over there?"
"There?" asked Ash. "That's Viridian City. Let's go now," said Mr. Joban. Ash was too tired to reply, so he walked next to Mr. Joban without complaining.
When they reached the city, they saw a crowd surrounding a battlefield. "Gengar use Shadow Ball!" said one trainer coolly. Then, a Magmar dropped from exhaustion. "Travis is out of usable Pokemon, so the winner is the Johto Gym Leader Morty!" said the referee.
"That was a great battle, Travis just remember Magmar can't take every single hit," said Morty. "Thanks, Morty. I'll try to beat you next time we meet!" replied Travis. Travis then left the battlefield and Morty went to the middle of the field. "Who wants to challenge me next?" Morty asked.
"I do," said Ash with a smile.
15 minutes after Ash and Mr. Joban reached Viridian City, a hectic Professor Oak ran out of his lab to search for Ash. He had managed to get a new starter Pokemon for Ash. Oak had pulled some strings and managed to find a Charmander. Little did the Professor know Ash was already gotten to Viridian City.
