It was originally supposed to be a one time thing.

That could go anywhere

They were both drunk out if their minds, forgetting about the families they had waiting at home. Forgetting about the happy, perfect lives that they had.

And only for tonight.

Neither of them had ever had sex with a man before. Patrick had let the alcohol cloud his judgement as he had watched Pete from across the room. Pete had whispered words clouded with alcohol and lust into Patrick's ear that he would later regret.

Take any moment, any time.

They both had other commitments. They had found their love for each other too late.

Patrick fists his hands in the white sheets, his body arching up towards the male ontop of him. The name that flew out of his mouth as pleasure crashed over him should have felt wrong. Should have felt dirty. But it felt so right.

Patrick goes to stand up, but Pete tightens his grip around him. Patrick gives into the touch and rests his head back on Pete's shoulder.

So the mess we'll become

Patrick raises his head and places his lips on Pete's, reaching up to cup his face gently. Pete returns the kiss, giving Patrick every shred of love he had for him voluntary.

Leaves something to talk about

"I'm falling" Patrick whispers, his voice barely audible. Pete still hears it. The truth cold in the air.

"So am I"

Just lay in the atmosphere

The blond closes his eyes, letting tears fall down his face. How could the universe be so cruel? To give him everything he wants after he had settled down.

Pete gazes at the ceiling, running his hands through his lover's hair. He didn't want to face reality. He wanted to stay in this bed with Patrick forever.

Hush, hush, don't you say a word

Patrick starts to cry. It was unfair. It was unfair to him, to Pete and to their families. Pete stays staring at the ceiling, running hand through Patrick's hair, the only thing he was able to do to soothe him.
