Smoke screen

We drove for hours before reaching our destination , it was a huge castle, it looked medieval but surrounded by modern gates which were opened as we drove in we helped most of the kids we escaped with out the truck and there were guards that helped them into the place as soon as the huge metal doors opened most of the kids saw their parents Gabriel and I searched in the crowd the standing there looking worried was our parents we ran and gave them a huge hug
" I thought I'd never see you guys again?"
" Were here" my mum said tears running from her eyes, then I saw Jay and Natalia's parents
"Erick! Honey where's Jay?" Jay's mum asked, my head fell
" No Mrs.Garfield , he and Natalia didn't come with me "
She began to cry
" But i promise we'll get him back"
She nodded and walked away All my friends  parents were relying on me now to get them back I could slowly feel the weight on my shoulders.

A man came out to address those that had just arrived

" Welcome to the middle, a mid- thirties man with a beard and dirty blonde hair spoke , I am Mr. Caleb your head, Here you will be protected and provided with whatsoever you may need for now keep calm , no fights and maintain good behavior. Training to help your powers will begin tomorrow . Thank you " he concluded leaving

We were giving rooms like back in the school or will I say the prison boys on one side and girls on the other the parents in another part of the camp
We gathered later that night for dinner I was speaking with mum because dad wasn't there yet 

"Erick how have you been?" She asked caressing my cheeks
" It was absolutely hell, mum they treated us like dogs forcing us to do things, they kill people in there mum?"
" Same here honey they made us work  aimlessly In the hopes that we could see our children but your dad and I joined 'the middle' and slowly freed kids one by one "
I spent the night catching up with my family on my way to my room i met Angela

" Thanks I owe you my life " looking straight into her hazel coloured eyes 
" You're welcome you deserve it and besides I didn't just do it for you but your little brother ,my sister didn't make it so...."
" Am so sorry about that "
" Nah... It's fine a group of us are having a get together wanna come?"
" Sure " I said as we left to a spot it was nice at first meeting new people like Apex( I do not know why they call him that), Berry, Rex,Gloria and having fun with our powers but that sinking feeling in my gut Jay, Natalia, Heather , Michael, Everyone I can't help but feel like I abandoned them I am officially the most selfish person in history
" You okay?" Angela's voice in my head  snapped me out of thoughts
"Yeah, am fine " I said staring at my bottle of root beer
" It about your friends right?"
I shrugged
" We'll get'em back , am sure of it but for now the fight isn't over yet this was just the first part of the plan there's more to come; But you have to be ready, we all do. "
Later that night when everyone one had slept I was still up wondering the kind of torture Jay and Natalia could be going through, then I heard arguing from the hallway I tip-toed over to listen it was the head Mr. Caleb and some other man

Mystery man: how long should we keep doing this you're putting us at risk!!
Caleb: we can handle it, it's just a few more!
Mystery man: it won't be long before the Cyclops find us and turn us all into slaves! I'll try and hold those walls up but just know the most minute they come down its over.
He said Leaving angrily , I made it back to my room thinking. what are the Cyclops? And how are they gonna make us slaves?
