"Taeyong, thank you for inviting your friends. The children really enjoyed their company, especially Mark and Lucas. The little kids are very much fond of those two." Mrs. Han said while picking up paper plates from the floor.

"Well, they loved them as well. They're going to pay a visit soon. I'll let you know ahead when they do." Taeyong replied as he flashed a tight smile.

We've just wrapped up the party since today was the children's scheduled field trip. They're preparing as of now.

Meanwhile, my best friend and I were still trying to accept the humiliation we did a while ago for the birthday girl and boy. It has not yet sunken in Jaehyun's head how he managed to act so naturally bubbly in front of the people when he hates to act adorably. Everyone was very entertained by our song and dance presentation, especially the twins. They even came to the front to join us. It was just very delightful. I couldn't take of the thought in my head.

"You know, you should become an Idol, Jae." I snorted, mopping the floor.

Jaehyun snickered and puckered his lips afterwards. "Every idol would become jobless if I do. I have everything you know?"

"Well, I can't argue with that," I chuckled. "But damn I just couldn't stop laughing at you when you started to dance cutely. You were so caught up in the moment, weren't you?"

"Can we not talk about that? It was my reflexes. I was impulsive, okay? Seeing Minyoung giggle hyped me up, man. She liked my dance."

"Yes, sure. I will not bring that up in the future." I replied in a sing-song manner.

He groaned, annoyance was palpable in the expression of his milk-like face.

"Are you still assigned in that other precinct?" I hesitantly queried, trying to avoid his eyes.

Jaehyun hummed, "Hmm. . . Nope. I told you already that it was just a temporary assignment. I'm going back to my old one today. Why? Is something wrong?"

I shook my head.

"Oh my god, you missed me?" Jaehyun's eyes gaped, a sly smile crept onto his face. "You should've just said so. I wouldn't take that assignment if you didn't want me to go."

I snickered at him, slapping his shoulder. "You wish. I actually want you to stay there forever. I don't need you here."

Jaehyun let out an abrupt laugh. "Because you have Taeyong?"

I was momentarily immobilized, holding my breath for a couple of seconds. I bit the insides of my cheeks before facing Jaehyun as my face began to feel hot.

"Oh—did I just bust you right there? You like him, don't you? Holy shit. You like Lee Taey—"

I pressed both of my palm onto Jaehyun's mouth which made the remaining words he was muttering to be muffled. I cautiously scanned around me to check if Taeyong was still in the room. And thank god, he wasn't.
