The day ended before I knew it. Time flew too fast as if the moments were nothing but mere particles that flowed along the winds to god knows where. Taeyong and I had parted ways as if nothing happened or so that's what I thought he felt.

I could still feel the butterflies in my stomach wildly churning. I kept on replaying the feeling when I had my lips on his. I would find myself unconsciously and stupidly smiling while walking amidst the crowd.

I'm headed to the book store. Ever since the chaos had taken over my days, I have not thought of visiting the place. I had to reconnect with my usual activities and routine to get back on track.

If father said it's safe for me out here, then there's nothing to worry about. He never promises anything he can't keep.

I got in the shop, inhaling the smell of coffee and books; the atmosphere as sedating as ever. The soft whispers and chatters of the people here gave me the reassurance that nothing changed. It always felt the same the first time I came here.

Quietly, I started to scan through the shelves which held a couple of newly released books.

I took a book out, reading the synopsis right away like how I always do.

Another World. I mouthed the words written on the cover page. It highly caught my attention. Even though I have not finished the book I bought last time, I am tempted to buy this one as well.

This book was an action-thriller book. Not my cup of tea but it's enough to spark my curiosity.

"Oh my god, it's so nice to bump into you again."

I heaved my chin up, averting my eyes from the book to the person standing in front of me. Lisa was delightfully smiling at me, showing her perfect set of white teeth. As she does so, her cheeks were given emphasis.

"Well, it's been a while," I replied, putting the book down. "How are you?"

Lisa rested her shoulder against the shelf, her body leaning against the pile of books.

"As usual, kicking," She giggled. "I just got a job. I might live for now."

Looking at her, it made me realize she was the human embodiment of the sun. She really radiates this warm energy that makes you naturally happy.

"Where have you been anyway?" Lisa queried, her expression suddenly changing. "I haven't seen you out here for a couple of days. I was dead worried not having any idea what happened to my friend."

I absentmindedly scratched my nape, embarrassingly grinning at Lisa's bemused face. "I've been into a lot of trouble lately. But, it's all fine now."

"Is that so?"

"How about you? Where have you been?" I asked her.

Lisa brushed her hair with her fingers, pushing back strands. "I've been everywhere. Just exploring the beauty of the city. I wanted to know this place more."
