3 YEARS

Clean Slate

It was now 9:30am and Murphy was in her house arguing with Bellamy. They had to be at the doctor at 10am. Haven was crying. It wasn't a pretty site.

Murphy: "No! You knew I liked her since 9th grade! Then you and her got together. Whatever. I was happy for you. But when she comes back and is finally single and I finally have a shot again, you cut back in!" He yells

Bellamy: "You were my bestfriend Murphy! Do you forget me introducing you and Clarke, telling you she was my bestfriend. Then in 8th grade we went on one date, but she said it was to weird! And I went to you. I was heartbroken. I was inlove with my bestfriend. You knew that!" He yells back

Murphy: "So inlove with her that you slept with every girl in our school! You-" he yells

Bellamy punches him in his nose, Murphy stagers back, then swings back at bellamy, meeting his cheek. Bellamy rushes at Murphy knocking him off his feet. Haven is screaming now while Clarke rushes her off. Putting her in her room. Telling her to stay there till she comes to get her.

Clarke rushes back downstairs, they're both bleeding. Bellamy looks to be winning. Bellamy turns to look at Clarke, thats when Murphy gets him good, knocking him down, punching him two more times.

Clarke: "Stop!" She screams as she rushes over pulling Murphy off the best she can. "GET OUT." She yells pushing him towards the door.

Clarke turns to bellamy who was sitting up now. Murphy leaves, slamming the door behind him.

Bellamy: "I'm sorry.. I understand if you don't want me near Haven.. danger always follows." He says looking down, on the verge of crying.

Clarke: "She needs her father.. who else is going to teach hee to fight like that if someone messes with her?" Clarke smiles causing Bellamy to laugh.

She takes his hand in hers and takes him upstairs to the bathroom, she let's Haven know everything is okay. It was now 10am and she was cleaning bellamys face, while Haven watched.

They day dragged by. Bellamy apologized a hundred times, Clarke kept reassuring him. Haven was now asleep in the stroller as they walked around the park. They were holding hands, it was nice. Then they see.. Echo. She was walking towards them. She didn't look happy either.

Echo: "I just saw Murphy!" She says pissed off looking between them.

Bellamy: "Listen.." he starts stepping up to her.

Echo: "No, lets go. This little friendship" she motions between them. "Is over." She says grabbing his hand.

Bellamy: "No Echo." He says pulling his hand back.

Echo: "It's me or her bellamy." She says. Bellamy looks back at Clarke.

Bellamy: "It's her Echo. It's always been her. I'm sorry." He says.

Echo: "Wow." She smiles, being pissed off. " She's a mother! She probably doesn't even know the father!" She yells.

Clarke: "Don't you dare bring my daughter into this!" Clarke says.

Echo: "Why? Because it's true? Some guy knocked you up and left. And now your back so you and Bellamy can play house?" She laughs.

Bellamy: "Haven is my daughter. Clarke and I have a long history." He says.

Echo: "Wow." She laughs, putting her one hand up trying to understand.

Bellamy: "Leave Echo. Whatever this was is over. I love Clarke." He says.

Echo: "You've made a big mistake." She says walking away.

Clarke and Bellamy get back to her moms house. Haven was awake now playing with some toys. They sat on the couch in silence. Bellamy had just told Echo he loved Clarke. And they hadn't talked about it the whole walk home.

Clarke: "It's getting late.. I think you should head home.. I have to get Haven ready for bed, and study for this huge test tomorrow." She says getting up.

Bellamy: "Clarke.. Are we gonna act like none of this happened.." he says grabbing her hand.

Clarke: "Bell.." she breaks, tears in her eyes.

Bellamy: "No.. you're sending me home.. I understand. Atleast let me take Haven for the night. So you can study, sleep.. I've missed so much.." he says.

Clarke: "I don't know.. I've never not had Haven.. she's never not been with me for more then a few hours bellamy.." she says looking down.

Bellamy: "She will be in good hands. Nothing will happen to her I promise." He says

Clarke: "Only if she wants too." She says. "Haven come here please." She calls.

Haven comes down the steps slowly. One step at a time holding onto the railing.

Haven: "Yes mommy." She says

Clarke: "How would you feel about having a sleepover with daddy." She asks.

Haven: "Will you be there?" She asks.

Clarke: "No. Just you and daddy, at his house." She says looking at bellamy.

Bellamy: "We can watch your favorite movies. Eat popcorn-" he says, Clarke cutting him off.

Clarke: "Bedtime is 9pm." She says smiling at him, and he smiles back.

Bellamy: "I can make chocolate chip pancakes in the morning!" He says and Haven gets excited.

Haven: "When will I see you again." She asks her mom.

Clarke: "I'll get you after my test. So after lunch." She says hugging her daughter.

Haven: "Okay!" She says excited.

Clarke smiles then gets up to pack Haven an overnight bag.

Clarke: "Okay. She has everything. She does have nightmares sometimes, just give her, her stuffed bunny and rock her in your arms. She should fall back asleep. She does love to sleep with me, so she might want to sleep with you after a nightmare. Or she just might fall asleep in your bed. Make sure she takes her daily vitamin in the morning. Make sure you brush her hair, she-" bellamy cuts her off, as clarke breathes heavily.

Bellamy: "Everything will be fine. I promise.. I raised Octavia since she was a baby. Trust me. She will be okay. It will be like a fresh start.. A clean slate." He says holding her hands in his, pulling her into a hug.

Clarke: "Thank you. She's just all I've had for the past 2 years.." she says

Bellamy: "You've always had me Clarke." He says before kissing her.

Clarke doesn't pull away. Even though she's a little upset over what happened with Echo. She kissed him back. But she can't shake the thought.. If he loved her why would he even be with Echo..

They break apart. He rests his forehead on hers, looking into her eyes. He kisses her one last time before leaving with Haven.
